Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

Lynn...sending that Scott gets home soon....

This however could be the reason for Scott's delay...

This morning at 7:00 am we had no snow....these pictures were taken at 3 pm when I got home from work....the normal 30 minute bus ride took an hour and then I had a 30 minute walk because the connecting bus was so far behind...

They are advising us that the snow isn't done yet...they expect it to fall until late tonight....and then another storm is coming through on Sunday

This time last year we were soaking up the sun at WDW....I sure wish I was there now!!!!!

WOW Elaine! No snow to a LOT! We've had ice and sleet all day. It's just now rain. Just cold and miserable. To tell you the truth, I would trade with you. I love Snow. It's so had to see rain this time of the year. I'm glad you made it home okay. Traveling in the snow is no fun.

Georgie....I'll package it up and send it to you....they have now said we have had over 3 feet of snow.....thankfully it has stopped for now... I am so thankful for our snow blower....we have been outside of over 2 hours (stopped for dinner) and we only have about 1/3 of our driveway done.....and that's using the snowblower I couldn't begin to imagine how long it would take using a shovel!!!! As soon as our news is over we are heading back out to finish cleaning our driveway and cars off....we are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather forecasters are right that the current snow is done for now.....except that there is another storm scheduled to hit on Sunday....

I have I told you guys that.....

I HATE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Evening Everybody.
It's been quite a week. Been busy doing this and that and even had time to enjoy a little bit of the flu. I think things are back to normal now.
The shopping is done. The cards are sent out. Need to wrap a few things.
Just waiting for Santa now.

In the middle of everything, Belle celebrated her 2nd birthday with a trip to see Santa.....

This was a fundraiser for the Humane Society. She is carrying on a tradition that Tippy started many years ago.

Also made the annual trek to see the lights at a farm about 20 minutes away.

We also got to take in the "Living Nativity" at the church not far away.
This is the 18th year they have done this. They have live animals and are set up outside. Tippy always liked smelling the camels 4 blocks away.
Needless to say, tonight is the last night this year. Cold weather forecast for tomorrow.

Time to catch up on the board and my e-mails. Everyone have a great weekend and week.

We had about 1/4 inch of ice on everything a couple days ago. Drove thru mucho slush to work. It's all gone now.

I think our daughter in the middle of the desert in CA got your snow..enough to close down the base for a couple of days! All melting now though!

Yes, the pain is to a tolerable point...
believe me it stilll hurts but i can stand the pain ...

I got to a point of being sick and tired of being sick and tired...

Yep made it home Friday, Lynn and I went to the Zoo Lights at the Denver zoo, it was fun.

Peter so glad to read you are up and about, I understnd being sick of being sick. Glad you can get out and about. Yeah!!!!!

Sunny here but very cold and windy, Oh well it is supossed to get warmer.

I might bake a pie or two today, we have some apples to use up.

Good Morning Cruisers,

It was cold here over the weekend, should be warmer today, but it is cloudy, no wind so far though. I have a PT appt this morning, so will go for walk with dogs this afternoon.

I am ready to pull up the suitcases from the basement and start packing for our trip to WDW in Jan., but the "packing room" is currently the "Christmas present wrapping room"

We are basically ready for Christmas, Scott has Friday off also, so he is really excited about that. Christmas Day will be the nicest day this week, at least as it looks on the forecast now. I do not think we will have a white Christmas, but that is normal for here.

Peter - glad to hear that you are back to work!

We've gotten rain, and ice and rain... very depressing for this time of the year. Of course... today it's 19 degrees with no precipitation. It's been ages since we've seen a white Christmas!

Saturday I wokr up to the room spinning. Had to hold onto the bed for dear life. I felt like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz!!! Very scary. Went to the doctor's today. This may be related to the dental work. UGH! I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS...

My Aunt turns 100 today!!! Joe and I are going ovet to celebrate with her tonight.

Shopping is done but decorating is NOT. But, we're chipping away at the stuff. Plastic bins stand ready to be filled and loaded into out Rat-Pack!

Well all is well here. Survived the cold blast of Canadian Air.
We got a lite dusting of snow. Fine like powdered sugar. Should be warmer with a slight chance of snow the rest of the week.

Just finishing up the Christmas prep. Baking cookies right now.
