Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

A drive by posting to say howdy..........HOWDY........

The 3 of us went to get a family portrait made last evening for our annual Christmas postcards. The Picture People store is right next door to The Disney Store, so after we had our pics taken we went to The Disney Store so Angelina could check her hours for next week. Well, as we were entering the store we saw the giant 48" Mickey and Minnie stuffies in the window. They were marked 50% off and with Angelina's employee discount added in, the deal was to good too pass up. Here are a few pics from last night.....http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=29151474&postcount=3515

As we were leaving the mall, Angelina handed her camera phone to someone in the mall and asked them to take a pic of us carrying Mickey and Minnie. We made quite a comotion walking through the mall. The cutest remarks were from the little kids......:goodvibes

On a personal note, as of this morning I have now lost 36 pounds and have another 14 to go to reach my goal.

Hi people,
Long time since we last posted,
Last Monday we went to a one off exclusive live concert at the Lyceum in London Celebrating the Music of Disney.
It is being broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on friday 26th December at 7.30 pm UK time and runs for just under 2 hours(So Florida time about 2.30 pm),so anyone with internet radio should be able to pick it up.

It was hosted by Josh Groban (Elaine are you ever so slightly jealous),who also sang when you wish upon a star for the finale ,and the show featured Ashley Brown,Titus Burgess,Kerry Butler and Heather Headley, from the USA plus some leading UK theatrical leads.

It was a great concert so I would recommend any fans to tune in.

Good Morning Cruisers!

Saw Scott off to Denver at 6am. Catching up here. Currently is 8.5 below 0, wind at 20 mph which makes the wind chill off the chart for my weather station, I think that means below 20 degrees below 0. It started snowing just as Scott left, hope he makes it to Denver before snow gets bad, and that his plane is not delayed too much.

Yesterday was a beautiful day for our 5K race!

We have been seeing pictures of ice storm in New England. Hope everyone up there is safe and warm!

Andy – love the Minnie and Mickey! Congrats on the weight loss!

Ashley and Leslie – good to hear from you folks!

Have a great day everyone!

The storm was west of us, the rain we got would have equaled 30" of snow...

Hi Peter (and Jenn)

How are you feeling?

Not much new around here. Staci turned 17 the other day. Cold today and expecting rain during the week.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Hi Everyone!

We are caught in Christmas Clutter!!! Lynn, hope you are feeling better!!!

Hope to get some pictures loaded up that we took on our last trip down to Mouse Beach. I got our Christmas cards started over the weekend... more to do...

Joe put lights up outside. Yes! Now he will get the tree out tonight. We will clear a space for it. Oh Elaine, how I envy your nice open living room, and your beautiful tree!

I'm recording Christmas specials so I can see them after Christmas! LOL! :lmao:

Bob, I made some Lemon Blossoms. I'm trying to figure out a way to send some along to you!

Have a great week everyone!

Good Morning Cruisers!

It never made it above 0 yesterday – at least in daylight – the official high was 1 degree, but that was at midnight! The highest I saw on our weather station was 4 below 0, the official overnight low was -13, which broke a record here. Our weather station said -16. Today it is supposed to get up to 15 (above 0). It is currently -7, wind is calm. I never made it out of the house yesterday for more than a few minutes at a time, twice to fill the birdfeeder, once to clean up back yard, and once took the car up to the end of the street to pick up the paper! Never even made it downstairs for exercise, I spent the day finishing my Christmas cards and working on an afghan that needs to be finished by the end of the week! Brought up a few more Christmas decoration boxes and emptied one of them. Today I have a PT appt, and some shopping to do. I will have to confess that I have not been doing my exercises. On the plus side, so far this morning, I have not been coughing much! I slept thru the night without the codeine!

Ken - good to hear from you! Happy Birthday to Staci! (a few days late)

Peter - glad to hear that you are feeling better!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi All!

We had a dusting of SNOW last night! It looked soooo pretty with all of the twinkling Christmas lights.

Just returned from the dentist. The novocain numbness is all the way up to my left eye! I can't feel the air when I breathe!

A tooth broke off in my sleep. At least I didn't swallow it! :rotfl: I had to wait 5 days for my dentist to squeeze me in. I'm glad to have a temporary crown on. All of our holiday parties are this week.

Christmas is one week away!!! WOW! :santa:

I am doing really well, so well that i got a gig plowing snow with a front end loader, with a 14 ' plow on the front of it.
It is a Brand New MACHINE..... still smells new... heat is great and the seat is Comfy..

Was hoping we would not get any snow for a couple more weeks, but Last night At 4AM I got the call and went to the office park up the street, and did the snow removal.

Was surprised, I only hurt a little, and was able to spend 7 hours in the seat.
We are going to get more snow on Friday.. 6 plus..

ok time for a nap....

Georgie

We woke up this morning to approximately 6 inches of snow and wouldn't you know it today was our office Christmas lunch so I HAD to drive....at least all the main roads were plowed. The weather channel is saying we are getting another snow storm on both Friday and Sunday....:scared1:

Don't ya just hate that freezing stuff....I always feel like my face is so swollen and your lips feel so huge!!!! Thank goodness you didn't swallow your tooth...I had part of a tooth break off when were at WDW in 2006....ended up getting some temporary filling stuff at Wal-Mart to hold me over until we returned home so I could see my regular dentist.

It's hard to believe Santa comes next week....I asked him for some additional vacation days since I'm all out...I sure hope he come through this year!!!!!!!

Hello and Happy Holidays my old friends. Sorry I have not posted in such a long time. It's been a bit crazed since July and the job loss. I'm into my second job now, the first was in NYC for a very small company working in pre-sales support, a bit out of my field by hey why not. With the 2.5 hr commute each way and this economy it was a scary thing but we were very thankful of the job. About one month ago I landed a job as an IT manager close to home, out near Bonzie1 and it's been great. The four B's are getting back on their feet and oh so thankful to have a job and medical once again. I have alot of reading to catch up with on the boards. I hope everyone is well and has a great holiday

Bryan!!! So good to hear from you... and that you have a job closer to home! Near us? Where? Maybe we can meet for dinner sometime!

SUCH GOOD NEWS ABOUT YOUR JOB!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: I'm glad you don't have the 2.5 hour commute anymore!

Elaine! Wow on the snow. I love it, but driving when it's icy is another story! The numbness has worn off... no more drooling, but pain instead. Jsut so glad to have this baby fixed up in time for Christmas pictures! LOL!

Good Morning Cruisers!

Peter - congrats on the job and congrats that it did not hurt too much to do it! Take care of yourself!

Bryan - good to hear from you, glad to hear that you got yourself a job closer to home!

Georgie - take care of that tooth!

Elaine - hope the party was fun! And I hope Santa gives you those extra vacation days!

Weather here has been nice. I tried to do a 20 mile walk yesterday, but only made it 11 miles, mostly I think the cold got to me, even though it was 33 degrees, the wind chill was 15, and I was out for 3 hours. It will be nice here today and tomorrow shouldn't be too bad - I certainly hope it is nice, I have to go down to Denver to pick up Scott at the airport! Saturday and Sunday will have highs in the single digits:scared1: I guess we will not get in any long walks or runs this weekend - at least outside - there is alway the treadmill!

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Cruisers!

I was up early, I was supposed to leave by 8:30 to get Scott at Denver airport at 10:30, last I heard, he was still on the runway at Detroit! Haven't gotten a text message for awhile, so he may be in the air now. He has missed his connection from Minneapolis/St Paul to Denver, so now I do not know when he will be in.

Weather here is good, sunny, high of 40 degrees, tomorrow and Sunday will be in the single digits, but back up to 40 by Christmas Day!

Have a great day everyone!

Hope Scott gets in okay Lynn!!! And... hope you are feeling better! :thumbsup2

Woke up to very messy weather this morning. It can't decide whether to sleet, snow, or rain!

We are having our group luncheon. I usually write a song. I was determines not to do one this year... but, here it is!

HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!
Holiday Song 2008
Sung to the tune of Deck the Halls… Fa La La La La

Verse 1
Now’s our time to be together
Leaving work behind and all the calls
This past year’s been tough to weather
Forcing most of us to climb the walls

Getting ready for the season
All of our systems are playing tricks
Making no sense, rhyme or reason
Leaving us a lot of work to fix

Verse 2
Thank-you, John and Thank-you, Tony
Jay and Joe, and Sharon, Thank-you All
While we sing in great har-mo-nee
With our stomachs full, that’s no feat small

Filling up our buffet dishes
We give thanks and we would like to say
Peace and Joy, best New Year wishes
It’s so great that we don’t have to pay :santa:
