Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

Hi Scott & Lynn,

Dale and I just got back from an estuarine restoration conference so didn't get to post.

We'll be joining you on the Barcelona-Dover repo and the first Baltic; Tracy did all the work while we sat in the conference waiting to hear (it made for a long day!!). Even managed to get the same cabin for both cruises.

Now comes the penny saving part, at least it's a while away.

The room looks great, except where's the palm trees and DCL stuff?

Hi Lynn..
Pete is doing pretty well. Yesterday he overdid it a bit, climbing the stairs several times and taking a shower, alone, while I was at work ! So today he is a bit quieter, but he is healing. It will be a long road for him for sure. Great to have him home though, and not be running to the hospital everyday. I got 3 hours of yardwork in yesterday, and a dump run in today. So all is good!! ~~~ Jenn

I think Peter is of the motto "no pain no gain"
Whats' the matter with him? Do you think he misses those sponge baths? :rotfl

Take it easy Peter, rest and heal, stop testing your limits.

Still, I'm pretty impressed he did all of that on his own.

Peter, so glad you are home. A 30-foot fall! OMG! Thank heavens no worse happened! We hope your healing is fast and as pain-free as possible.

Wayne and I decided to try the westbound repo in September 2010 from Barcelona in a Cat. 7; Tracy's helping w/that (thanks, Tracy ). We're really excited since we've never been to Europe. I'm just glad there's so much expertise available on the DIS, otherwise it'd be a little overwhelming.

Nice to see that there will be some familiar faces on the WB Transatlantic. We managed to downgrade from category 10 to category 11 on Saturday so I am happy now. We have gone from a specific stateroom to a GTY status as well, but the stateroom we had was not really what we wanted anyway as this would have been on deck 2 and we were happier on the higher deck on the Magic. At least with a category 11 we know that we will be on deck 5,6 or 7.

Miss hearing from everyone! Peter and Jenn... Hi and hope the healing process is moving along. No fancy cruises for us. All the great memories from this past cruise will have to tide us over for a while.

We're off to Mouse Beavh and the Food + Wine Festival this weekend. Work has been hectic (know I always say that) and it will be a good break for us.

Happy extra hour to all this weekend.
