Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

What a great day I had today. The doctor called with the results - just basal cell carcinoma. I start treatment when I return from the cruise. I think all of your prayers and good wishes really helped.

DH convinced DD's volleyball coach that a few missed practices should not be grounds for removal from the team. She will be practicing onboard and working out. We are in for beach volleyball on Castaway Cay.

One little hiccup, I am scheduled to work the day we leave. Either my vacation was not approved or the person who does the schedule forgot I am leaving a week from Sunday.

No one else is allowed to get sick or hurt before we leave. That is an order!

YAY!!! Gary and Kate were very concerned when I told them that our repo tablemate was waiting for the diagnosis. While I wish it was nothing, at least it's not the worse case scenario.

I can't wait to give you a big !!!

I'm in shock that I'll actually get to meet the man, the myth, the legend VERANDAH MAN!! What a great trip this is going to be.

Good morning all! What great news, Lesley!! Fingers and toes crossed that that stateroom is yours!!!

Safe travels to all our peeps who are heading out this weekend! 4 more days of work for me!! We are going to be packing, printing door signs and tieing up other loose ends. Laxdad has to go out of town for work for most of the week so I want everything done that needs done. I start a new class on Monday and need to concentrate on that so I don't have to take text books with me! Anticipation!!! It's making me crazy!

I had envisioned in my head that the bags would be packed today, tomorrow would be spent cleaning the house (MIL is watching the 4-legged boys for a week before taking them to the pet hotel for week 2) and this would be a very organized, stress free weekend Ahhh, I do like to dream!

I am still fighting a cold, Merrick was being transitioned to one nap a day this week at daycare and starting the same cold fight, which means a grumpy baby when he's home, the house looks as if a tornado hit a dog kennel and baby toy factory and dropped it off at our house, not a bag is packed, not a clothing item washed...and my sis decided to come up last night for and early birthday visit, oh and a work picnic to go to tommorrow!

So, I may not be back on the boards until after we get to WDW (yeah, right!) but lots of work to get done.

Peter, we are up to any meet time/place for the most part....we may run into each other at BWV, too....but it seems lots of folks are going to be in MK for the castle tour, anyway.....but a place with drinks may be good

I got the CAT 5. I have been up since 4:00 am because I was "too excited to sleep". Not only does it have a verandah, it has a huge one. I am not telling DH that I upgraded, so if you meet him at the port please keep the secret.

I am good with that....I think our tour is at 7:20 (I have to check) but even though MK is dry, it is nothing that a short monorail ride and walk can't fix!

Mom B Update: More tests today. Joe + I are recovering from the 4 hours of sleep we had. She seems to be in more pain this morning, and now is not eating. I asked DH to keep a notebook/journal by Mom B's bedside so they can keep track of when meds are given, etc. I know the staff is supposed to do that... but Thanks to all for your concern and proyers.

I'm off today to do more FE gifts and other crafts. They need to be done today!

OOOOH... I really need to buy grass skirts... is Party City a good place to try? Joe will NOT wear the green cello kind, So I hope they have the real ones!

Bob, is their an "official" drink for this cruise? I remember someone had selected one for the PC crossing?

I got home early for lunch and Hazel is in the shower, she and our DD have a graduation party to attend this afternoon. Once she gets out of the shower and gets some clothes on I plan on dropping the cruise bomb on her. Our DD has her phone camera all set to go, it's in a hidden place to try and catch all the action!!!!!

Andy, it's so good to hear you pulled off your surprise!! I can't wait to see the video and Hazel's reaction to the wonderful news. I'm sure she is okay with having the problem of needing to pack more. Looking forward to meeting you both.
