Can't beleive after a year of planning this trip is almost here!

Niftysquirt, I sure hope all is well with you. Keep that foot elevated! Maybe some Aleve would help; it has an anti inflam in it. Ice is your best friend right now!!

Still have to find someone to mind the pups while we are gone. I have never boarded them and I don't want to start now. Hopefully by the end of today, we will have that covered - the last detail. I asked a friend and she is going to get back with me.

Hi all, Several things I would like to try to get a handle on while we have the weekend!

1) Any ideas on a Dis meet at the World, the night before the cruise?

and No standing in line at the dream suite does not count! we will be there for 6:20 PM
I will have my lanyard on!

Peter...since you are the "Lanyard Man"...what would work best for you??? I know you mentionned wanting to distribute some of the lanyards before the cruise....What about meeting somewhere near the Boardwalk (that's where you're staying if I remember correctly?) on Saturday (since there seems to be many people signed up for the Castle Tour)his way you don't have to bring the lanyards far. I think it would be fun to walk around WDW with our lanyards on!!!!!

This weekend our goal is to have everything packed and ready to go...

We will be arriving on Saturday and spending Saturday and Sunday in the parks, so a meet would work for us. Our castle tour is at 3:40 on Sunday and we have breakfast at Trail's End with some of the gang on Sunday morning, other than that we are pretty flexible.

Peter, if you are wanting to give out lanyards in advance, we would be glad to go ahead and get ours. If it is more trouble than it is worth , then we can wait until we board.

Peter, I think we will actually see you at the Castle tour, so we could get ours then if that works ok for you. Also will wait until the ship if that is more convenient.

I love todays countdown too! Is it bedtime yet so we can do another?

thanks! I have been icing it every half hour, that has helped the swelling a lot. I just can't believe I almost ruined the vacation!

Also elevate if ya can and use an anti inflam if you can.

This afternoon as I was daydreaming at work, I got this foggy recollection.....

Four years ago(I believe to the day), we were sitting in the parking lot of K-Mart in Jackson, WY on our way to Yellowstone. A red jeep pulls up and a guy with a big grin jumps out saying "Hi Kids. You must be Bob and Lee". I said "you must be Scott". That afternoon we got to meet our first Disers in advance of the PC Repo cruise.
We have been so fortunate to meet such great people on this board and onboard. Such great friends that we will remember forever.

So, in 16 long days we will get to meet our Dis-Friends again. New and Old.
It will be a Lovely Cruise.

It's too bad that we will be just a bit early for Talk Like a Pirate Dayirate: Arrgh!

WOW it was that long ago, But as you say well worth it.

One day at sea will be plenty busy.

Also excited about akl after the cruise,

got slamed at work Friday and have lots on my plate, will be a very very busy week and then some.

Rain and wind here so might have to tread mill it today, working on basement.

Stay healthy you guys, I am ready to go.....

My family and I are planning on being between Grills and Jetty Park on Monday September 1st as you sailaway. I am hoping to have some lime green balloons with us, if you should see us along the banks of the port channel give out a yell..........here's wishing all of you a MAGICal cruise!!!

Of course I will have my camera with me getting shots of the Magic sailing up the channel, if you would like any copies of the pics I get, feel free to send me a PM or e-mail and I will send them to you.

Been spending most of my time on our B.O.B. cruise meets thread. Well, between that thread, work, going to the gym every morning, watching the Olympics, my online time has been quite limited....

Thanks!!! Her massage therapy school had an open house that we attended last night, I even got a "free" chair massage, it was WONDERFUL!!!!!

If some of you are making a DISmeet on Sunday evening at WDW, my DW and I would love to meet up with you if we arrive on time. We are due to land at MCO at 4:20pm on 8/31, then taking ME to OKW where we will be staying until 9/5.

so this morning I fell down and thought I broke my ankle. I didn't go
to the doctor but I know now its a very bad sprain. My foot is all blue. My question is if the magic will have any wheelchairs? If it starts bothering me can I rent one on the ship? I'm going to the doctor tomorrow since I can't move LOL. Hopefully its not broken.

Dont know about wheelchairs but FYI Sprains can take as long as 6 weeks to heel depending on how bad the sprain is.

Dont forget ELEVATE!!! When you are sitting keep your foot up and Motrin. Try an ace wrap too!-RICE-Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevate.
