Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

We are doing the castle tour on the 31st as well, but am I hoping that closer to the date, we can add on to/change our ressie to get Natasha and Gage (Socerer Mickey) in there. Right now, the link won't even let you access the site. But I haven't forgotten, Natasha!

A meet will work for us pretty much whenever. We, too, are staying at BWV. We have a night reserved just for Tim and I on the 28th and have kids nite out coming to the room to hang with the little man. We are deciding on either hitting MK for the evening or heading down to Jellyrolls or the Adventurers Club, as we have never been to either! Can't decide which, but we also may just cancel...our remaining vacation budget after Park passes is slim, and I am not sure about leaving Merrick, too.

FWIW, I would do the Adventurers Club, if any. Jelly Rolls and the parks will be there after AC closes this fall. You won't get another chance to do it.

That was our first plan, but I keep reading good things about Jellyrolls and we know we will not have any opportunity this trip to do the rollercoasters together this trip....decisions, decisions!!

nftysqrt! Take care of your ankle. Everyone has given great advice. If you think it may be broken, do take time for x-rays. A sprain can be bad, especially with swelling.

Hi All.......

My family and I are planning on being between Grills and Jetty Park on Monday September 1st as you sailaway. I am hoping to have some lime green balloons with us, if you should see us along the banks of the port channel give out a yell..........here's wishing all of you a MAGICal cruise!!!

Of course I will have my camera with me getting shots of the Magic sailing up the channel, if you would like any copies of the pics I get, feel free to send me a PM or e-mail and I will send them to you.

School starts here Tuesday and as fate would have it, Fay is on her way.

We're just west of Tampa (for those who don't know the area) and are smack in the center of the spaghetti models of what Fay's path is anticipated to be!

Looks to me like the kids get an extra day of summer vacation. The school system would be NUTS to attempt a first day during a hurricane or tropical storm. Both my girls are making changes this year too-one to middle school and one to high school. The LAST thing they need is to be in unfamiliar territory in a storm!

Cross your fingers that Fay is the LAST storm we'll see.

Ugh-just heard that the whole state has been put in a state of emergency. Hurricane watches may be posted for the keys tonight....

Me too!!! I was off the couch jumping up and down for him! Honestly, I still don't know how he touched that wall before the other guy. It was so exciting! One more race tonight for him- the medley. If it is anything like the other medley, I'll be off the couch again!

I've been watching the weather channel quite a bit b/c we have had some wild weather up here in NJ lately and saw that they were keeping an eye on this storm...1st not much of anything and now into a tropical storm, hopefully not into a hurricane. I hope it misses you guys or at least, not too bad.

All I've managed to do for this cruise is get all my FE gifts and check-in on line.

There is no way to catch up on what you all have been doing.

Thanks!!! Her massage therapy school had an open house that we attended last night, I even got a "free" chair massage, it was WONDERFUL!!!!!

If some of you are making a DISmeet on Sunday evening at WDW, my DW and I would love to meet up with you if we arrive on time. We are due to land at MCO at 4:20pm on 8/31, then taking ME to OKW where we will be staying until 9/5.

Peter, why don't you just hide the lanyards in the Dream Suite and let our DIS cruisers pick them up as they tour?

DD was invited to try out for the JV Volleyball team (even though she is a Freshman). She did not make the JV team and was heartbroken. She is on the Freshman team !!! Her new coach does not believe in any missed practices (I wonder if she is related to my new boss), so the decision to cruise is hers to make.

I have been watching tv this morning and have watched a travel special about the Atlantis Resort and the hour long Disney Cruise Line show. I am getting so excited. Just 2 weeks and 2 days.

And to top things off, I am going to Disneyland tomorrow.

Safe travels to all of those getting on the ship in the morning/afternoon.

We will be on Northwest this time...normally we fly Southwest but it was cheaper in the long run to do Northwest with the travel time and parking for 9 days.

Our flight is NW #956 to arrive at 4:37pm. Not sure which side Northwest is on but I will look for you. Might wear my DCL lanyard and you can recognize me that way. We will be renting a car and staying at the Sports for 1 night. Will be visiting my sister after the cruise.
