You will very soon learn that you might wish you had pushed him back down as soon as he started walking. Your life will only get busier and busier now and the novelty of this new found ability will very quickly wear off. Seriously, though, enjoy this new milestone.

I went through this with crawling...couldn't wait, got excited when he finally did, then wished for the days when he was a still little man just sitting. So, I know by next week (or tomorrow!) I will be wishing for the crawling days

I have gathered the graphics from all over the internet--I can't point to anyone specific spot. A lot of them are available over on the DISigns Board. Some of the numbers were made by someone else and I put them together and added the shadows, etc., and some of them I created myself. I am learning Photoshop Elements, and the more material I have to work with, the more creative I can try and be, which is not easy for me.

I am glad you are enjoying the countdown. I am having a lot of fun doing it and have even had a request or two for specific characters. I need to come up with some really good ones for our last week.

Last night I went to see the Jonas Bros. I brought my 10yr old daughter and her friends. It was actually very entertaining. The concert was at Bethel Woods-which is the site of Woodstock-they have a beautiful concert venue and museum on that spot now. Thankfully, it was not like Woodstock 39 yrs ago-the paper called it KIDstock!

I am getting that very excited feeling inside--cannot wait until cruise day! Nothing beats that feeling of pulling up to the dock, seeing the ship for the first time, going into the terminal being greeted by Goofy or Minnie, checking in and then fianlly walking throught the yellow Mickey and being greeted by the crew as they announce your name!

What is the count down--17? So much to do !

Hi all, Several things I would like to try to get a handle on while we have the weekend!

1) Any ideas on a Dis meet at the World, the night before the cruise?

and No standing in line at the dream suite does not count! we will be there for 6:20 PM
I will have my lanyard on!



2) Would we like to have a Dis volleyball match on Castaway Cay ?
If so what day and time? (Jenn Love's VB)
I Say CBS VS. GSF
Or something like that, deck 6 Vs Deck 2 ???

3) Just a friendly reminder to the lurker out there, If you wish to get on the roster, (That will get you on, oh 3 or 4 lists for different things..

4) Pleae take a lookc at the roster ( click link in my signature) to make sure we have your cabin number .. only like 9 or so cabins that we dont..


If you are leaving this week for the world or close by the world (MH) have a safe trip.. When you get there give that Woman a hug for me!

I am not sure but it sounds like many people are planning a park dayon Sunday w/MK have EMH and the DVC tours scattered throughout the night.
If Sunday is the day then I suggest someplace close to MK in case people are between tours etc. I have never been involved w/ a Dis meet-can we just plan to be at the Poly or someplace like that at a certain time?

Well I thank you, but I do have to work at it, it takes me twice as long to do these as it might someone who really knows Photoshop. It can take me hours to come up with something that just looks awful.

This afternoon as I was daydreaming at work, I got this foggy recollection.....

Four years ago(I believe to the day), we were sitting in the parking lot of K-Mart in Jackson, WY on our way to Yellowstone. A red jeep pulls up and a guy with a big grin jumps out saying "Hi Kids. You must be Bob and Lee". I said "you must be Scott". That afternoon we got to meet our first Disers in advance of the PC Repo cruise.
We have been so fortunate to meet such great people on this board and onboard. Such great friends that we will remember forever.

So, in 16 long days we will get to meet our Dis-Friends again. New and Old.
It will be a Lovely Cruise.

It's too bad that we will be just a bit early for Talk Like a Pirate Dayirate: Arrgh!

Thanks, Peter. I had looked to see what new info I could find on the boards and the DIS DCL FAQ still had the older info. Thanks for posting. I am now switching my two flat rate postage boxes into one big ole box. Oh, well.


Well, everyone beware on the ship...Merrick is now walking! It ain't pretty, and I doubt it will be any prettier on a moving ship, but it is so funny to watch him try to master it! Too funny

Congratulations!! I know how special this milestone is to a mom. I am glad you were there to see and experience it. I can not wait to see him on the ship. How special is it going to be for Merrick, his first experience on the ship, he will walk up to Mickey Mouse all on his own? It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.

so this morning I fell down and thought I broke my ankle. I didn't go
to the doctor but I know now its a very bad sprain. My foot is all blue. My question is if the magic will have any wheelchairs? If it starts bothering me can I rent one on the ship? I'm going to the doctor tomorrow since I can't move LOL. Hopefully its not broken.

Passporter cruise book says yes wheelchairs are available, but very few, but if you don't start out with one and then need one, sounds like there will be one on ship for you

Do not count on the Magic having a wheelchair available for you to rent on the ship. If you want a wheelchair you should rent one in advance. I don't have the information with me, but I believe the company DCL recommends is Brevard County Medical Supply or something like that.
