Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

I'm suppose to fly out at 11:15 a.m. that Saturday, maybe I can check about changing to a later flight. Our Scrapbook Expo is September 19 and 20 here in Salt Lake. It is HUGE. That's where I buy alot of my stuff cuz there are so many great deals. Where is Lakeland?

Lakeland is about halfway to Tampa on I-4. 50 miles I'd guess. I don't think it would be worth changing your flight for. Last year it was very small, as far as these type of things go anyway. It was in the Orange Co Convention center. I think that's why they moved it to Lakeland this year. :sad2:

Please excuse me if this has been posted and I just overlooked it. I am trying to figure out all the times for the activities on sea day.

Scrapbooking - 12 Noon or did it get changed to 11:30?

Cabin Tours - ?

Wine and Cheese Party - 1:30

Just wanting to see what all I can fit into my schedule without over doing it!!

Thanks for any info. Again sorry if I have overlooked it somewhere.

Come on Pam... what did you think this was?? A vacation?? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Does anyone have space for two more people on their DVC tour of the castle suite? I never wanted to be a DVC member more than I do now :scared1:

I have scrapbooking starting at 12 noon, only because there is usually something in DCL's Navigator that I want to do in the morning, but since this is an unusual cruise, who knows. If there is nothing exciting going on then I will probably be set up and ready to go earlier. That's why I get everyone's stateroom number, because everyone on the scrapbook list will get a group voice mail message from me reminding them of the time, date and place. If I decide to start a little earlier, people will be welcome to come then and start earlier than noon if they want.

Now, have I totally confused you?

/
Working on my BSBA. Only 7 more classes!!! I will be 49 when I finish. I really think I am a better student this time around. Life experience and maturity really has been an asset.

Would anyone mind if I maybe stop by and peak over your shoulders while you scrap? I'll try not to drool!

Sign up for it, why don't you? I'll help you get started!

Of COURSE you're a better student now - women don't get older, like fine wine, they get BETTER with age - You GO girl!

I am back to square 1 in searching for good rental car rates from WDW to the port and then from port to WDW on the return.

Anyone get good rates that you can share the info on?

Try Sidestep. I know right now they have deals on rental cars.

No I think I am with ya! No confusion here, I will just go with the flow!!:dance3:

Hmmmmm... Someone once told me, "Come on Georgie, You can always sleep at home!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have waited for this cruise for quite a while now so I am ready to go...go....go...I can sleep on the flight home!!! :rotfl:

Were heading to orlando the 28th. I would love to know where MouseMemories and ScrapYourTrip's warehouse is in Orlando. Can you point the way.
Virginia

And you will SO miss them - I mourned the whole last year after our LSS closed. Do you know where the scrap stores are? I have 3 favs - MouseMemories in Kissimmee, PikTails in the town center shopping center on Hunters Creek, and Scrappy Boutique in the Florida Mall Terrace on Sand Lake (not far from Airport)

Can't wait to meet you and the other scrappers! Maybe we can keep each other on task after the cruise ;)

Virginia,
Mouse memories is on Damon Av off 192 in old Kissimmee. The easy way is to go out the Oceola parkway (the road by Wide World of sports) (part toll) to rt. 17 south - turn right on 17. At 192 turn left.

Damon Avenue is on the left, about 500 yards along, near the RaceTrack Gas station. 192 is divided, but there is a turning cut for it.

MouseMemories is in a building that has a KITCHEN sign on it. It's a tacky looking warehouse kinda building, but the shop is GREAT.

Have you all checked out the scrapbook board here on the DIS?

I personally LOVE the scrapbook board here...

MouseMemories

I've never gone out the Oceola parkway to MouseMemories - I've always just gone straight out the 192

Here's the instructions from their website - www.mousememories.com

MouseMemories is located on the East side of Kissimmee, Florida, less than twelve (12) miles East of Walt Disney World's main entrance on US 192. If you are familiar with Kissimmee's "Mile Markers" we are located about 3 1/2 miles East of Mile Marker 15.

After driving East from the Walt Disney World area, approximately six miles, there is a big bend in the road (US 192) to the South. Continue on US-192 a couple of additional miles until US 192 again bends so that it heads due East once more. You will pass the huge castle-themed Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament Show building at the second bend in US 192. At that point, MouseMemories is only four miles away.

Continue on US 192 past Hoagland Boulevard, Dyer Boulevard, Thacker Avenue, John Young Parkway, and Orange Blossom Trail (also called "Main Street" in the downtown area of Kissimmee. When you pass Main Street, you will be able to see an archway to the right (South) which designates Kissimmee's old downtown area. (After visiting MouseMemories you might want to drive through the old downtown. There are several great shops including a couple of great antique stores that are worth visiting. Also, there is a great selection of old town restaurants that serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner!)

After passing Orange Blossom Trail, you will cross over a railroad track. Shortly thereafter, you will see a Racetrack Gas Station on the left-hand (North) side of the street. You will need to make a left-turn just BEFORE the Racetrack. That street that you'll be turning on is Damon Avenue. MouseMemories is located past the Racetrack and past Lehigh Street which crosses Damon Avenue. We are in the second building on the right-hand (East) side. With our Scrapbooking signs above and in the windows, we'll be easy to find from there.

Scrap Your Trip

I'm not exactly sure where the Scrap Your Trip Warehouse is....I had sent an email about whether or not their warehouse is open to the public and I was advised that it was but that you had to make an "appointment" to ensure that there was someone there that could show you around. I was advised to email closer to our date and arrange a time....and also to get directions....I'm not 100% sure of their address but this is what shows on the bottom of the emails I receive from them...Scrap Your Trip, 7111 Grand National Drive Suite 108, Orlando, FL 32819

Too bad I didn't have a bigger car or I would have suggested a "road trip" to visit the scrapbook stores on Saturday the 30th!!! That would have been a blast...

I have a whole Disney Craft room. It has paint from Home Depot in Tinkerbelle Green and Enchanted Evening (purple) and then it has white cabinets, a sink and a kewl storage cube with 16 12 x 12 cubes from IKEA that is white that fits all the scrapbook stuff perfectly. However, you can hardly walk in the room because I have stuff all over the counters, floor, etc. I also have a wallpaper border with Tinkerbelle. It's real cute if I ever get it organized so I can actually use the space.

Okay Linda...you can't just describe your Disney Craft room we want to see pictures....mess and all......it sounds really KEWL!!!!!

I didn't realize there was a scrap board. Went there today and I am really interested in digital scrapbooking! That looks awesome! I may download a couple of freebees and play. I may have to joing you guys. Just not sure if I can get the family to let me sneak away.

I think I have shopped Scrap my Trip online. I got some great things after our last cruise. Great things I haven't used yet!

Yes, pictures pppllleeeaaassseeee!

Got the FE gifts taken care of today! Whoo hoo! One step closer. Also got all the trip paperwork together in one place and ready to pack in my bag!

Linda, i also have a Disney theme scrap/craft room!! :) If you look on my blog (craft blog in my siggy) you will see the makings of it -- i still need to add touches, as i just "moved into it" - but it WILL be a full disney craft room soon - right now i have my tink framed artwork up, and my Disney placemats, and a disney themed paper flower bouquet (also on my site) -- i have lots of work to do, but i have a vision.. LOL

Did i tell anyone that i have a disney cruise themed kitchen? LOL Yes, i am serious. LOL

Laxmom - come join us over on the Scrap Board!!! We don't bite! I only do digi scrappin' right now! I still enjoy my cricut and doing paper crafts, but my sb layouts are strictly digi!

Wish you all the Best time on the 15 night cruise you are doing before this 5 night...
For those that have not done the Panama Canal cruise It was an awesome, awesome, awesome trip.
We met alot of wonderful people on the May 2005 pc trip, we did.
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Peace out Peter "Always think Disney" :thumbsup2

I saw you over there, Caitsmama! This really intrigues me. Laxdad does all the photoshop so I had to ask him what software we have. Ends up, we already have what I need to get started. I just have to learn how to use it. I promised him I would use my in hand stuff before I got too carried away. I like the idea of being able to scrap where ever my laptop is! By the pool, on the patio, on the couch....without dragging a boat load of stuff with me!

Glad Celine did well for you guys and that Mom had a great time!

Hey, yeah, everyone about to sail, have a super trip! We will see ya in a couple of weeks!!!!! Take care of the Magic until we can get there!
