Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

:rotfl:

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=26059975&postcount=2968  T what time are we having this?

Tasha, how is the cabin tour working out?

Not much can be done about this Peter as there is only one day at sea, there is only so much time. The cabin tours I believe were going to start around 12:30 with the wine & cheese party at 1:00 or 1:30. I hadn't set an exact time because I was waiting to see what Tasha thought was a good start time for the cabin tours. Since I have invited a number of people who probably don't read the boards, the wine & cheese party are pretty much set. Maybe Tasha wants to do the cabin tours at 2:30 after the party?

Hi Caitsmama! We're moving to Newport for a year. Dh is in the Air Force. We've heard great things about Newport!:)

Oh cool! We will really be neighbors then! I am in Tiverton (which is about 20 min. to Newport) and i work in Middletown. :) I didn't realize that there were many Air Force in Newport - i know we have TONS of Navy, due to the base and the War College.. If you need someone to show you some sights, let me know! :thumbsup2

I'm sorry, i probabaly missed it, but did someone do a link to the PDF with the Map and FE rooms? I think i saw a pdf but it wasn't a map....
thanks!!!

The informational pageabove the roster, has been updated with all the new links, Elaine, please post the newest version on page one  Click link in my signature to view, it contains, oh, about everything you could think of. LOL

Still looking for a link to the deck map ?

Also removed the Palo brunch since it did not go thru!

Several other links to FE lists of all kinds Now it is up to the people who created the list, to update them. An Update, Date on the list would be helpful!

There is also a Cut off date of August 21, 2008
to get on the lanyard list. and fe list ...
New cruisers will be added to the roster, until August 27, 2008 - they can receive lanyards, as I have blank name badges printed, just have to fill in info with a sharpie.
not a big deal.

ok need to telephone DVC, DET, avis and budget.

Also, Just wondering how many people are renting a car to get to the port FROM WDW RESORTS, and or some sort of Transportation other than DCL transport?

IS there Anyone who would like to get to the ship, for $11.00 P/p with no driving.
I am looking at a 55 passenger motorcoach.
Would pick up people at up to 3 resorts, at the world.
This would arrive at the port to be the early group about 9:30 or 10
Smaller coaches also available, - 28 passenger, of course the price goes up a bit per person.

Just wondering?

Wine & Cheese Party
in the Roy Suite!!

September 4, 2008
Time 1:30

We will be hosting an informal get together immediately following the cabin tours on our day at sea. Everyone will be welcome to stop in and see the Roy Suite and have a glass or two of wine and some cheese (we may even have some curds from Wisconsin ).

You are asked to bring a bottle of wine to share with the group (one per room/family unit). Children are welcome for the tour but we ask that only adults stay as there will not be any entertainment for the children. If things get too crowded, we will move the party up to Deck 9 near the adult pool.

Merrick and I will be there early...Tim will be taking the car back to Dollar/Thrifty or whatever it is called at port. We'll be the dorks in the matching POC personalized T's! (And I do say that with pride:goodvibes !)

By the way, off the subject...should I be worried that DS knows how to operate a remote control, pointing it to the TV and everything, and still can't walk? I think that is a sign to turn the TV off (after I watch my DVR'ed so you think you can dance, of course:rolleyes: )

I'll take that as a yes:thumbsup2
Now you need to keep the remote on a high shelf, but I never get to watch anything on the livingroom TV except DVDs and the Disney channels when my DS is up. Grown up TV time is 9pm on.

I agree. I do enjoy them both
You wil have to ask Peter to post on main page
I have your information posted on the main FE list.

Virginia, I don't see the updates when I click your tagline link.

OK PDF it is, but how put it out there on the web for everyone?

I used a free file sharing site www.4shared.com
It has a 10 second delay on downloading:rolleyes1 , but what do you want fo free:confused3

Thanks Peter for putting a link in. I will keep the Excel Spreadsheet updated daily up until Aug 22nd. We are up to 119 Cabins with 332 cruisers! :thumbsup2

Wine & Cheese Party

Now I have to find some "fun" wine to bring. ;)

Thanks Caitsmama!! Looking forward to meeting you!

As much as I would love to see the Roy Suite, I don't do alcohol at all so trying to buy wine might be funny....y'all might end up with something pretty bad. Could I bring a non alcoholic beverage instead for those like me that wouldn't be drinking wine anyway? Like a wine and cheese, juice party? ;)

Definitely non alcoholic is fine! There are a few people for sure that I know of that won't be drinking alcohol.

I also do not drink wine, but since Scott does, he will be bringing wine, so some non alcoholic wine would be great - I usually just drink water at these functions. I am guessing that there are some other non-drinkers out there who will also be bringing non-alcoholic wine or fruit juice.

I can move up the scrapbooking to 11:30 and run it 11:30 - 1 p.m. if that helps. I just don't like to do it too early, or it messes up with stuff the ship has planned in the morning and around lunchtime they don't schedule anything.

Then it is a BYOP or BYOS - depending on where you are from!:thumbsup2 I think I will bring my refillable mug and hit the drink station on the way. Not a wine drinker but give me the drink of the day and I am one happy girl!!

I think we need to hear from Tasha about the cabin tours.

I told DH that if he brought a nice wine, Tracy, Bill, Peter and Jenn might let him sit on their verandah during the wine and cheese party. ;)
