SCRAPBOOK CLASS INFORMATION!!
THE 8TH OFFICIAL DISBOARD SCRAPBOOK CLASS (hosted by Seaulater)
Okay, so I have not been procrastinating, just focused on other things, but I have now spent this weekend and designed our project, completed my sample (while watching the Olympics and talking to Georgie on the phone while she and Joe were in Vero Beach), eating chinese food (thanks Peter for the great idea) and just finished my Sunday night steak, so here's the scoop:
DATE: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 4th (sea day)
TIME: 12 NOON - 1:30 PM
PLACE: TBA (Based on the previous cruises I have done this I am 95% sure we will be in Animator's)
DETAILS: Each person will be making a 6 x 6 scrapbook themed to our Cruise. I will purchase the 6 x 6 books this next weekend, so I need to know if you would like to scrapbook or not. When you come to the class you will receive all the materials and embellishments needed to do your book as well as instructions for the book. The cost is $10 so it helps partially reimburse me for the cost of all the materials. The only thing you need to bring to the class is yourself! If you end up having a conflict, just stop by my stateroom after the class and I will give you your supplies, because by following the instructions, you could put it together on your own, even if you are a beginning scrapbooker.
Here is what I'd like to do. PM me with your real first name and stateroom number (you will receive a message the night before on your stateroom phone reminding you of the class and the final location). Tell me how many books you are planning on doing (kids are more than welcome to come and do a book too.)
DEADLINE: Yes, there will have to be a deadline so I can pack everything to haul to Florida and have everything pre-packaged for everyone. So, let's set Monday August 25th as the date for the cut-off.
Any questions, ask away, and if anyone has scrapbooked with me before on the ship, feel free to add any comments or suggestions or feedback (whether positive or negative) on the class.
Remember, everyone is welcome, whether you are a beginner or expert! Scrapbooking is easy (I am not going to do anything really difficult that is hard to understand). I have found that when someone has gotten stuck that another person at the same table has just jumped right in and helped the other disboard member with their book too.
Everyone should have their book completed or pretty close to it and then all you do after the class is add your pictures and you will have a great tabletop book to share with family and friends from this cruise. You don't have to worry about bringing any pictures to the class.
I will post a list right before the cutoff date so you can double check that you are on the list, and when you PM me, I will send you a confirmation back via PM so watch for my reply. (just give me a day or so in case I am not on the boards when you PM me.)
Can't wait for this cruise to renew old friendships and create new ones!
