Wow, you'll be doing 2 B2B cruises!!! Good for you! We're still crossing fingers and planning! We would Love to be able to do the 1st Baltic (well I would... DH is't that excited about cooler climates)

We're not likely doing any of the 2010 cruises, except maybe Christmas or an Eastern in the fall. Just too expensive (I know Christmas will be too, that's why I say maybe an Eastern). We do have 3 Eastern cruises in the next year though - Dec 6, May 23 and Oct 10

Hey all, here is my daily update!
It was not a good day for Peter today. He is not feeling well. They think that the chest tube is not doing its job. They might want to do surgery in the next day or two to remove the rest of the stuff in his lung. He was very down in the dumps today, both emotionally and physically. We should know tomorrow what and when they are going to do anything, so I will let you all know. Thank you again for all your cards, he has been so enjoying his stack of cards every day. I think it was the only time I saw a smile today Ok.. goodnight.. Jenn

Jenn, it is such a shame, how tough this has been for Peter and you. I sure hope the doctors figure out something soon to get Peter healthy again!

I just heard from Peter!! He gave me a call today from the hospital. Didn't talk too much but he sounded really happy that everyone is thinking of him.

He probably put in his request for the Baltic Cruise

Hope Peter is doing better today- both physically & emotionally! Being in the hospital is NO fun, unless you're working. Even then, sometimes it isn't fun.

Jenn, please tell Peter that I'm so sorry that he is having such a hard time. While I have never had a chest tube, I am well aware of the pain & discomfort they produce. They usually very effectively, but not fun for the patient. I hope that he has had a turn for the better & that surgery isn't needed.

Hope he stops feeling and soon feels much, much better!

We originally booked a date in 09 for and eastern thinking that we might move it to 2010. The prices shot that idea so I think we are keeping our October 09 cruise as is. This may be the last DCL cruise we do for a while; they have just gotten too expensive. When you can buy a DVC contract and go every year for the same amount of money........

Well things seem to be looking better. He is feeling much better. They did not end up having to do surgery, just adjusted the tube and that seemed to work. There is talk of him coming home in the next couple days. So I am off to the hospital now to get the lowdown, let you know later whats up!~~~ Jenn

That's wonderful news!!! Yay Pete!. We're really glad surgery was not necessary; that's sooooo not fun.

Wow, I better get us off the bottom of page two with some good news! It looks like Pete will be coming home tomorrow! The chest tube came out today, and he had a chest xray around 6 this evening. As long as all looks good on the xray he can come home. He is still pretty miserable, so I think it is still going to be a tough couple weeks to come. But he at least will be able to sleep without getting taken for tests in the middle of the night. Thank you all again for all your cards and well wishes, it made his day each time he opened one! ~~ Jenn

Side Note... Just bought my favorite Disney Fairytale, "Sleeping Beauty" 50th annviersary edition. Found an interesting bit of news. DL is in the process of reopening the walkthrough of the castle!!! It was originally opened 2 years before the finish of the movie. Will have to go back to DL and see it when it opens.

Bob! Got it finished up this weekend. Should hit the mail tomorrow! Thanks for your patience Matey 12 and 23!

Another side note: The cruise prices have us thinking about another contract instead too...

That's SUPER news! I'll bet being home, sleeping without a thousand interruptions, and personal one-on-one care from his favorite nurse will help him heal better than being in the hospital.
