Just popping in to say we will be joining you

Im trying to read all the posts tonight(good luck) , I have to make our last set of ressies very shortly.

A short intro:
Im Ann(54 at sailing date) and Dh is Howard(will also be 54). Have 3 grown kids with lots of kids of their own.
Both of us are artist working in ceramics and Howard is also a photographer. We also race (Hawaiian)outrigger canoes in California, Arizona and Nevada.

Very much looking foward to this cruise and getting to know more Dis'ers.
PIT... How's Kevin doing. You didn't post on the other thread, or perhaps I just haven't seen it yet.

In other news, dh Kevin is having surgery to repair an umbilical hernia this friday. He is in a good bit of pain, hopefully that will go away after the surgery. He is wearing a binding brace until we can get home. We should be home thursday and he will go in for surgery Friday morning. Prayers, warm thoughts, monetary donations, and alcohol all greatly appreciated. What a week!

Welcome Ann! Glad to have ya! I posted on the other board last night. I have been so busy doing a lot of the things out here Kevin normally does. The Dr doesn't want him lifting anything but himself into the truck. I might just lose a few lbs working like this!

Thanks all for prayers and well wishes. They are greatly appreciated. I think me and the kids are flippin' out more than kevin is. He's cool as a cucumber and we are panicing. I know everything will be fine, but its just hard to deal with.

Cyndi...this is too weird...my brother just had that surgery on May 11..we had never heard of it before....It took him almost 3 weeks before the doctor would okay him to go back to work (he's in construction)...but with lots of restrictions...he says he's doing better but it takes a while to heal.

Sending and to Kevin...good thing he's got Nurse Cyndi by his side.

Dh ad I have done the maiden voyage of Magic, we've also done the 1st 7 day of Magic and the EB Panama Repo. Then there's several more in between the first and the last.
We're doing a B2B2B in Sept. Cyndi and Kevin are on our first cruise, and somewhere Lois and Janet are one another one too.

PHEW! Finally caught up!

I wanted to say a special thank you to PIT and Peter for their kind words.... You guys are too nice- it's good you don't really know me, or they probably wouldn't let me on the ship.


PIT- sorry to hear about Kevin, surgery is never any fun. Atleast this will be an easier recovery than something like a rotator cuff- especially related to your line of work. I saw this show about trucks driving across the ice to deliver stuff to a diamond mind in Canada- HOLY COW! I'd much rather deal with someone in a "code" situation than drive across an ice road. No thanks.


Scott- AWESOME job for both you and Lynn. I can hardly wait to you guys in October for the Tower of Terror race. I hope to be up to my old speed or faster by then.

Peter- You and Jenn have been on my mind over the past few days. Robb and I have been going over the events of the cruise and your names keep on coming up.

Tracy & Bill- I was also telling Robb about how Bill was such a gentleman- offering me his hand in places where he knew my balance would be compromised due to my ankle.

Andy & Char- Who knows how it all started. I continue to stand by my story that he was stalking me- he will say it was the other way around. Who are you going to believe? A nurse who spends her life taking care of the sick and wounded or some guy who works for Yahoo who keeps information from thier clients in China? (Oh, I'm gonna be in trouble) I will say, the diving is all MY fault- maybe actually- all Scott's fault. He lured me to the pool with dreams of swimming at Epcot. I then drug them all behind me. Peter, Jenn your next. Better dig your heals in or you're gonna fall into the pool!


Basically, I just have many wonderful and fond things to say about the group that is doing this cruise. What else can I say?

Was a great weekend!
Lee's parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Low key celebration last night.

Weather was nice over the weekend with just a little bit of rain.

One more week until summer shutdown vacation.
I really don't like being off over the 4th, but a vacation is a vacation.
Will go camping for a few days and work around the homestead the others.
