I didn't make it on Safari this week (will do it next week) but I did get to try out California Adventure's new Segway Tour today.

It was a great tour and I give it . We went into the VIP lounge at DCA and I wondered who had been in that room in the past.

Since no one has cruised with my DH, can you all make up a great story about him?

Time to rise and shine. Sunny and hot here in Davie today. Better take advanatage of it while I can..weather man says rain for the rest of the week!

Happy Saturday to all! Loved reading about everyone. It's great too see all the friendships formed on the DIS through posts and cruises!

Here's another glimpse of pirate folks you'll all see on our 5 night cruise:

Bob + Lee on left, Janis and Ron upper right and GEJO on the lower right. We'll have to work on getting our other Table 12 pirate mateys on this cruise!

Tink33... GREAT pics of the Segway Tour. We did this in Epcot and loved it. It's great to know we can now do it again in California... maybe in December?

We met Cheryl and Bob on the PC repo. Shared bourbon and cigars with Bob.
At the last stop of the cruise, Cabo, we ran into them at the Cabo Wabo.
Started doing the Cabo Crawl. The Wabo, the Rainbow Bar, the Giggling Marlin and then Slims. Never did make it to the Office. Ran out of time.

Was fortunate to spend a weekend at Disney with them last spring. Did the Monorail Crawl this time. Was a blast. Still need to make up a tee.

Then there was the 11 night cruise. Cheryl and Bob was at our table.
(what was the number of our table.....I forgot )
Tracy & Bill, Lynn & Scott, Peter & Jenn, Cheryl & Bob, the Twins and Lee & me!
It was a great dinner every night.

Then Key West December. Got to do the Electric Cart Key West Bar Crawl.
That's what you do when you are too old to walk from bar to bar.
That was a good weekend too. They are great folks. Good friends.

Of course most of the folks we have met on the Dis are great. We feel real fortunate.

Hmmmm. I made it sound like all we do is drink when we meet.
We have had some great meals together.
Let's see....
Tonga Toast at the Poly. Mac & Cheese Balls in Key West. Oysters in KW.
Seriously, Cheryl & Bob are good people to meet.

AND!!!!!


Well we survived the race, Lynn finished 2nd in her division and I finished 5th. It was hot but we had fun. We will definitely be doing this again. The event was called Super Saturday, local Parks and Rec sponsored, lots of community involvement. Lots of vendors, social groups, volunteer groups, and Debbie I stopped by the Red Cross, just to help out $$.

Looks like the next event will be the Race for the Cure. August 11th.

Had a pulled pork BBQ sand for lunch. Hot and sunny here today. Time to stay inside till it cools off. Hope you all are having a great weekend. I got some dry wall to patch so that be an afternoon project.

I am with ya Peter I could use a trip to WDW, but not in the summer, now that I think about it.

I think it would be easier to make up stories about Leslie (Tink 33).

Not in the summer is right, for WDW..last weekend. MGM was wall to wall people for starwars weekends. We have to make a quick run up again next weekend..another gallery event..that will be fun!

Ketchup based, I miss the vinegar, used to have a secret recipe but lost it somewhere, would do a whole hog.

And southern foods is good foods.

OOh, I want to play this game, although I'm a little late.
I met all these folks on the 11 day.
Scott and Lynn are Salt of the earth. Lynn always has a smile and a kind word, and Scott is just plain KEWL.
Elaine is a little nutty and has FABULOUS taste in clothes (we are Torrid kindred spirits). She is quite fond of her bubba mug, and I think she and DisneyPinDiva get themselves surgically attached before they cruise together because when you see one, you see the other.
Webray (cheryl) has great taste in pirate costumes. We were twinkies last time and if the good lords willing I will squeeze back into my costume for the 5 day. Aaaargh Cheryl!
BobandLee- Bob likes Cracker Barrel, and ESPECIALLY likes rubbing it into Elaine that she has to cross the border to get her CB fix.
Celeste is super nice, somehow I managed to cruise with her 11 days and meet her on the 10th. She gives great tips on where to eat should you break down and get stuck in the Chicago/Milwaukee vicinity.
WinoTracy is also super nice (with KEWL hair). Every time I think of Tracy I think of BTSB.
And finally (hope I didn't leave anyone out) Peter- He was LUCKY enough to have us for neighbors on the 11 day. Unfortunately I can not comment on him or his doings or goings on from that cruise per his attorney for fear of prosecution. That's all I'm saying.........

In other news, dh Kevin is having surgery to repair an umbilical hernia this friday. He is in a good bit of pain, hopefully that will go away after the surgery. He is wearing a binding brace until we can get home. We should be home thursday and he will go in for surgery Friday morning. Prayers, warm thoughts, monetary donations, and alcohol all greatly appreciated. What a week!

What, no alcohol for free? Seriously, if I tried to hug him now he'd cry. Funny thin is, when he lays flat on his back he say the pain goes completely away. Too bad he can't drive that way! I could use a free hug right now, because he almost never gets this way, but when he does he gets irratated because he can't do everything he's use to doing. Stubborn Men!
