We just got back from a stay at Disneyland and on one the early entry days we were able to be the first ones on the new Nemo Submarine ride. By the time we finished the ride the line was already 2 hours long. Glad we got there early! I remember that ride from when I was a kid and I'm glad to see it's back with some of the old and some of the new - Nemo Characters.

Sharon, how was the Nemo ride? DH misses this one from long ago. When we get out to DL again, I know he'll want to ride it.

And welcome to our new cruisers. I think I need to start on my gifts because at this rate, our group will be half the ship.

I have my idea also...have already purchased the bags to put the gift in.

:rotfl: I know what you mean! I have my idea, but haven't started yet.

Change of topic, but Tink33... have you heard any buzz about the DL CP? Do you know if it will still be the first Saturday in December... the 1st? It would be nice to get out there again! :yay:

Candlelight is traditionally held the first weekend in December. :santa: I don't know who would top Dick VanDyke though. That was a great night and I hope we can get together again if you and Joe come out Georgie.

p.s. The subs are better than ever.

Dh and I did the Nemo ride early in June. We won the contest for AP's. We got our day and time we asked for!:cool1:
It was better then ever.:thumbsup2

We really enjoyed the Nemo Sub ride even DS who is 13 did too. I think with the addition of the Nemo Characters it makes it fresh and new. The ride takes somewhere between 12 and 15 minutes so it's easy to sit back and enjoy it. It is a bit cramped in the sub when you first get it but you soon don't notice it. Disney painted the subs bright yellow with blue trim and you can see them easily going around the lagoon from above the water.

They are definitely worth seeing and riding on. I don't think your DH will be disappointed. Hopefully when you make it out to DL again the waiting line won't be so bad. It's a fun ride but I'm not sure it's worth a two to three hour wait.

What are these gifts that everyone is talking about? And how much do I need to invest?

Background: Some of us on the Panama Canal cruise brought little sailaway gifts for everyone... bubbles, life savers, bookmarks, door magnets, pens, notepads, beads for pirate night, mint tins... some had the dates of our sailing on them, some didn't. Someone even provided personalized M+Ms!

It's definitely not mandatory, just for fun. No one needs to feel as though they have to give anything. It's sailing together that's the fun part! :thumbsup2

You don't have to have a fish extender to participate. Surprises can be left on the fish outside your stateroom. The roster is the list people use to find the staterooms.

Once I get around to getting organized for this cruise, I hope to provide a little something for everyone, or for every stateroom on Peter's cruise roster, and give them out at our first sailaway.

Well said Georgie!

DCL should offer rewards for cruise referrals like DVC offers $200 for bringing in one family (reward goes up for each family in the same calendar year). I think $ 25 credit for each referral should suffice. I have been trying to get other friends and family to sign up for this cruise. I think it is a great deal ($1243 for 2 adults in Cat. 10). You can cover the cost for the cruise on the all-you-can-eat bacon alone.:rotfl2:

They say it is a great deal but no one seems to want to book 14 months in advance. My DW and I always have our vacations planned well in advance.
I will continue to spread the word. Anyone else coming with a large group?
Do you know if our cruise is mostly filled yet?

I thought I knew about Disboarders and cruises but I did learn about Fish extenders today.

Who drinks alot?
Girl, I am so offended.
I think I have only had one or two drinks with you.
Or was it three or four. Wait, maybe....:lmao:

Sorry Bob, didn't mean to offend you. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We didn't have that many drinks..lol. But one is sticking in my mind..I need Lee's help. That beer and rootbeer combo drink we had at the parrot bar.
That was so good..lol.

The only people I know who had to be really drunk were those women..lol, we met in the liqour store in St. Thomas, lol...that thought we were having an affair..:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Remember them????

Hmmmm. I think I can answer that. It's called a Root Beer Barrel
1 glass(es) Beer
1 shot(s) Rootbeer Schnapps

Fill glass with beer then fill the shot glass with the schnapps.
Drop the shot glass into the glass of beer and chug!!!!!

The Green Parrot is always a great place to go.
What was good about being there, besides the company, was the fact that we could call back north where it was cold and snowy.:cool1:

You mean we weren't?:sad1:

Yeah, I remember them. Dirty old ladies.
I also remember being a beast of burden.
What ever happened to that Grand Marnier? Hmmmm.
