Well Frontier Days kicked off yesterday, We will be going to the parade today and maybe a rodeo tomorrow. Big air show on Wednesday , will be kewl to see the Thunderbirds.

Still moving stuff to the barn from the basement, when that gets done, will have to paint the garage floor and then start on finishing the basement. Lots to do but we are making progress.

Spoke to my BIL yesterday. He's still in a bit of pain, but is able to walk around which is good news.

Wheres the air show? We are yet to make it to Frontier Days, but I would like to one of these years Bon Jovi would have been so fun to see! Never too early to take a baby to a concert, right?

Georgie- Thank you for asking, Kevin is much better. Staples came out Thursday and the doctor said to take it easy for atleast 2 more weeks. He is watching every movie he can find.

Scott and Lynn- Check went in the mail last week. Kevin wore his shirt to the DR and told him all about the cruise and how he wished we had gone. Thank you for making his day

Elaine- Been to Torrid lately? I'm having withdrawals. Gonna have to do some internet shopping soon, or go see a therapist, either or

Last night I took Kevin on a date. We went to Montgomery about an hour from us to dinner and a show. We saw Menopause the Musical at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival www.asf.net and LOVED IT! For anyone who hasn't seen it, it originated in Orlando in a 76 seat theater and it has swept the nation. The music is parody of songs from the 60s 70s and 80s. One song, "Hot Flash" was Kevins favorite. During the scene the actress came off the stage and sat in Kevins lap while singing to him about her "Hot Flash". He turned every shade of red imaginable. What did I do? I fanned her of course! Had to cool her down somehow! We got big laughs from the rest of the audience. All in all it was a fabulous night, and if you have a chance to see it, do. It was HILARIOUS. Kevin said afterwards he thought he was going to bust his stitches he was laughing so hard.

Ya know Peter we actually missed the 2 sparklers and a snake because we snuck off to WDW on the 4th. But friends went and said the rednecks shooting fireworks on the side had a better display than the town did!

Tracy- Any word on Oprah yet?

Cyndi, glad to hear Kevin is up and about. Hopefully he won't go stir crazy over the next couple weeks.

No work on Oprah yet. I had a possibility of two people that could help, but it seems that feel through. I have sent a couple emails myself and sent a letter to the Angel Network. The most difficult part is that they are on hiatus and won't be back until August so finding the people I need to find is impossible and the people that answer the phones don't really care what you have to say.

The good news is that mom seems to be doing better. We talked to the oncologist on Thursday and he said we will manage her symptoms for the next 3-4 weeks while the effects of the radiation continue. The radiation she received is a new kind and the hospital in Wisconsin Rapids is one of only 4 locations in Wisconsin with this machine. They can focus more directly on the tumor and do less damage if any to the healthy tissues. Mom asked the oncologist how much time she has because one doctor told her 6-12 months. This doctor said no one can guess that and in six months the two of them will go see that first doctor and show him. This has helped her mood dramatically but she is still really tired from the treatments.

Hey Peter and Jenn

Yes, thunder storms here, terrible lightening. Lot's of rain..started about 20 minutes ago.

I have 4 pairs of tevas...no crocs. They just don't look comfy to me. I have tried them on..they do nothing for me. We did each get a pair of Keens though. Mine purple, Bob has the Khaki green. I also got a pair of the Ecco leather sandals..they are fantastic.

Peter...we just picked up 4 bottles of the Chateauneuf-du-Pape (2004).
Haven't tried it yet. We are going to pick a french menu..cook together one night and enjoy.

Also, knowing how we love champagne, lol. Bob and I picked up Louisa...the very first year of Pommerys champagne. Haven't tried that yet either, but looking forward to it.

Our new grandaughter will be born sometime around the 28th of August...can't wait. Looks like after our Wisconsin vacation I will be on grandma duty in central Florida..with the two oldest grandaughters when their sister is born.

The air show is at Laramie County Community College on Wed. at 10am. If you make it up, let us know, maybe we can have a pre-cruise mini-meet. We had house guests that went to the Bon Jovi concert, they had a good time, but a fight broke out next to them during the show.
