OK after reading (and cringing) through the Brazilian Wax thread..I had a question

I had my legs and bikini line waxed once a long time ago and the hair grew back almost as fast as shaving.. with the same yucky red bumps....I never got the weeks of smooth softness! Was it done incorrectly?

Well, since I appear to be a pro at this waxing deal :o I can give you a few ideas of what I think happened.

First, I know that sometimes the wax is too hot, and that can cause a rash/red bumps. That sort of happened when I got my lip done. In addition, I felt like my lip "sweat glands" were irritated.

They make a lotion by Jergens. It's got soy as an ingredient and if you apply that to your legs/bikini it truly does help with the regrowth. I found that it took a good 3-4 waxes before I noticed less regrowth. I don't get my legs waxed anymore but that's probably because of this lotion and the fact that my hair is very light and mostly blond so I only need to shave now about every 4th day.

I've also tried electrolysis, but I found that as good as it helped, I always seemed to get a new hair folicle and then i'd be back to square 1. It also sort of hurt also, but i'd never get ingrown hairs.
