Speaking of Water

I mainly use the tap water here in my home. It is city water and the taste is pretty good. But I do buy the spring water in bottles for DD's to grab on the run. They like the bottled water, and it is cheaper to buy them in bulk at the grocery store rather than one at a time at convenience stores.

I am considering having a home delivery of bottled water, such as Poland Springs and set up one of those little stands in the kitchen to hold the large containers. Does anyone have any experience using one of those? Don't have small children any more, so play with the dispenser and flooding the floor won't be happening, lol. That was the main reason I did not look into one several years ago.

We have two in our house. One is in the basement and only has cold water and the other is in the kitchen and has hot and cold water. We have had a water cooler in our house for over 10 years, as it lived with DH before we got married.

My advice to you is to buy, don't rent, your cooler. Get one that has a hot water dispenser, too. It makes cocoa, hot tea, and hot cider much easier than boiling or microwaving.

We've helped to convince everyone in each of our families on the virtues of having a cooler in your house. We couldn't live without ours.

I have a culligan water cooler in my pantry. There is a strong chlorine smell and taste to our tap water.

I like it Carol. I buy cheap bottles at the dollar store and fill them up half way and freeze them, then top them off with water from the cooler and that gives me ice water for a few hours

I really like mine, I think I'm increasing my upper body strength from exchanging the 5 gallon empty bottle for a new bottle of water. They are fairly heavy but I don't have a problem with it
