Speaking of VA speed traps!

Next month, I'm going to need Cheri to tell me the latest speed traps in her area since we have not been in her neck of the woods in ages.

We remember most of speed trap areas on I95, I 81, I 77, and several other routes.

The worse traps on I-95 are in SC (multiple digital cameras in one trap...which was mention on MSNBC.com site not that long ago) and GA.

Knock on wood.....crossing fingers and hoping not have jinx us...

Anyone have a rabbit's foot, horse shoe.....

I hope I don't jinx ourselves either! Especially since we are headed down to WDW next week!

There are a few places in N. VA that are known for catching locals as well. And of course VA does not allow radar dectors either.

Yeah, I got ticketed in VA too.

The thing that annoyed me was the officer asked why I was speeding and I told him the truth.
My sister had just had emergency brain surgery, had a stroke during the surgery and the doctors didn't know if she would make it and strongly suggested that the family arrive as soon as possible.

I was thinking Oh, he is going to just give me a warning that's why he asked. Nope, gave me a ticket.
I was annoyed because why waste my time having me explain if you are going to give me a ticket anyway?

I hate driving through VA.

Oh and my sister made it through with only minor problems now and is doing pretty darn well.

When driving on 460 between Lynchburg and Hampton Roads, watch out for Crewe. The speed limit drops down to 35mph through the entire town.

Yet another reason Virginia is an awful state. I swear we we do our road trips from VA to FL we'll hardly see any cops on the road. But as soon as we cross the VA state line there are cops in every corner! Yeah, I feel safer...
