Speaking of Servers - 1/22 Magic

I'd like to put in our votes for a wonderful server team on the 1/22 Magic.

Inyo from Bali our server and Aswald from St. Vincent, our assistant server were an excellent team! In addition, Jeff from Kenya, the head server was wonderful too. He did his best to make us happy and he did.

Not only where they totally efficient and knowledgable but they were so friendly and entertaining, I really wanted to leave them my email address to keep in touch. I just felt a bit too embarrassed to offer it!

Also Maurice, our stateroom host, although not very talkative was excellent!

If I had the opportunity to go on the Magic again, I'd ask for these gentlemen again.

Jeff helped us from the start! My wife Susan really wanted our own table. She just KNEW that we were bound for a meltdown without warning! We had 8:30 seating (slight mistake) and with kids 9, 8 and 5, they sometimes were just too tired. We were originally scheduled to be with a table of twelve but somehow on a packed ship, Jeff made it happen!

Thanks Jeff - we told him many times that he set the tone for our whole vacation!

Hi! We just returned from the 1/22 Magic also. We had great servers too. Den & Martin. Our head server was John. Our dining rotation started in Parrot Cay. We really had a wonderful time.

More thumbs up for Jeff. We went back and forth btwn early and late seating preference. My family had had late in the past and my sister's family had early. We ended up going w/ early. After the first night we realized it just wasn't going to work. Jeff was our headserver so guest services told us to find him to make the request. Within hours he had things rearranged to late seating w/ a new table assignment and servers and things worked out so much better for us.

We ended up with Manuel as our server who was awesome with the kids- he did lots of magic tricks to keep them entertained. Our asst server, Teodore, was very slow with the drinks but we were told that he was new to DCL so that was probably why.

Jeff was our "server" a few years ago on the Magic and it was our DD's birthday...he and Ellen, his assistant at the time, made it so special for her. She still carries a picture of the three of them around in her purse.

I was so happy he had gotten "promoted", but on our last cruise...he was on leave and we didn't get to see him....but am glad to know he is doing well.

Nice to meet you Liz..it was such a surprise in the elevator that night to meet you and your sister..after all these notes, to finally meet fellow DISers was wonderful..love the red hair!

We were also on the 1/22 Magic. We had Ronald as our server and Jira as our asst. server. Both were outstanding!!! Ronald played with the kids and did magic tricks for them. My 4yo DD was asking for Ronald today! We will definately request them again!

We also had Inyo last Jan for our 7 day, and he was wonderful. He had a different assistant at that time that was also great: Zaldy. I wonder if he is still working on board.
