Speaking of photopass...

The CD costs $124.95, but you can get it for $100 if you pre-buy it before your trip. For all you need to know about PhotoPass, check out stitchkingdom.com/photopass.

We've gotten one each of the last 2 years. It is expensive but worth it if you use it heavily and have your family photos taken everytime you see a photographer. We got some great shots and you never have to ask a stranger to take your family photo for you.

We also did the Grand Floridian photo shoot and it was AWESOME!!

What is the Grand Floridian Photo shoot?

Do you guys feel like it is worth the $100??

Absolutely worth the $100. If you are going to buy at least 8 of the pictures that Photopass photographers take...it's worth it. The pictures are $13/piece at Disney. I take plenty of my own pics but I like the Photopass since I actually get into some of them. Plus you can add borders, character signatures, etc. I typically have about 200-300 pictures on the CD by the end of the week. Not all of them are keepers but at least 8 of them would be!!!

Do you have to have them printed there or can you have them printed at home? Where does the $13 come from?

We found that the pictures we took were just as good as the photopass pictures. All of the photo cm's will use your own camera too. We spent our money on the photobook(worth every penny!) from our last trip and a photo movie from the previous trip (our video camera broke on the trip). You still have to print the pictures...you just have the rights to them.

PhotoPass is great. Even better if you get in on a PhotoPass Share. These can be as low as $10-$15 each. Just search for an open share in your time frame.

I'm a little confused? What is a "cm" (I'm new at this)?

So, you have to have all your pictures printed at Disney or do you take a CD home to print at home?

A CM is a cast member. They will not have a problem taking pictures for you.

When you get home, you can add your Photopass pictures into your account and then edit them. Add borders, crop, etc. After you are through, you can just order the CD and then you can print whatever pictures you want.

If you are not sure whether you want to purchase the CD or not, you could wait and decide after you look at all of your pictures at home and determine whether it is worth it or not. Figure out how many pictures you would want to print out and calculate how much Disney charges; then see if this is more or less than the cost of a CD. We wanted to print out a bunch of pictures, so it was worth it for us.

we pre paid for the photopass cd, shared w/a DIS friend which cut the cost in 1/2 :cool1: then did the GF photo shoot for $25! I'm so glad we did both! all our pics were fantastic!!! well worth the $$ esp. the GF shoot:love: :cloud9:

you just take all your photopass cards home and upload them all and they send you a disc ;)

I think I read somewhere that they give you some sort of certificate with it that way if I wanted to take it to Walmart or whatever and print out pictures I could do it with no problems. Is that right?

I am really thinking it might be worth the money if I can do hundreds of pictures and print them out to make a scrapbook or something.

correct, there is a document on the cd you can print and take with you that shows there are no copywright issues and they're yours to copy as you wish.

we had several hundred on ours too. I love scrapbooking! plus you can edit them and add cute borders etc.:cloud9:

What is the Grand Floridian Photo Shoot??

They have photopass photographers that you schedule a 20 min session with and they take you around the Grand Floridian - inside and out and take pictures for you. You can buy the CD then which is $124.95 or prebuy it and it's $99.95 and then the sitting fee is $24.95. We have gotten some great shots there - if you order the CD you can log in to photo pass from home and crop and add boarders to the pictures and you can add any other photo pass shots taken to it also. I usually just get a photopass card from the photographer at the Grand Floridian and then a separate one in the parks. Then combine them both online and you can print them at home or Costco or any photo printing location.

I have done 4 Grand Photo shoots so far the picture in my signature is from one of them. Personally I think it's worth the cost.

Do you have to have them printed there or can you have them printed at home? Where does the $13 come from?

$13 would be the cost per picture if you DON'T buy the cd (and thus don't have the rights to the pictures). You can go home and view all the pictures but if you don't buy the cd but you can't print out the pictures without buying them from Disney (at $13 for a single 5X7). If you buy the cd, you can make as many copies as you want...for pennies!!! Perfect for scrapbookers.

Can anyone buy a GF shoot, even if you are not a guest there? I might have to go over there, just to see what the hoopla is about.
