Why is it so hard to find ones for small ribcages and large cups? I'm anywhere between 32DD and 34D. That's not so unusual.

I think everyone in my area must be a 34D because I can't find that size in the style and color that I want. :confused3

I hate bra shopping!

I have a similar issue. Small rib cage and not tiny up top. Nordstrom is my best bet always. VS is starting to carry 32DD now as well. I haven't been there since I was in HS so I can't tell you how they fit.

I find places like Macys are the worst for size selection. Even Target carries more 34Ds than my local Macys.

I wear a 34 DD, and I don't find it terribly difficult to find my size, but the problem is finding my size in cute bras. I'm 24, I don't want to granny bras!

I buy most of my bras from Century 21, I can only wear Wacoal for the most part, and they're so much cheaper there than in a place like Bloomingdales. I can get a plain Wacoal bra for around $12, a fancy one for $20.

I wear a 30B and usually have the choice of 1 or 2 bras at even a good department store. This always surprises me, given the number of really slender teens and women I see. VS always trys to talk me into a 32B which I can wear once or twice before the band stretches and the bras starts riding up. I don't like ordering them as I am picky about the amount of coverage I get from bras and I find that the cups are very skimpy on most smaller sized bras. Just because I am small, I don't necessarily want a demi cup. I wish I wore a more common size.

I second Nordstrom!:thumbsup2

did you know that that a 32 DD and a 34 D are basically the same size. I found this out when I couldnt find a bra in my normal size for some outfit. So using the formula a 36 C should be close to your size, and may be easier to find? WOuldnt hurt to try

The cup size for 32DD and 34D and 36C are about the same, but the bands aren't.

I am a 36 DD or 36 E and Nordstrom had some really cute ones in my size and clearanced out too. $20 or less on the sale racks.

I am a 34 DD and I can never find a good one anywhere. Target sometimes has a few, VS usually has to go look in the back and even then they usually only have one or two. They are never the cute ones. We have a Maidenform store and I wasn't able to find even one in my size, not even an ugly one.

I like Target, I don't think I've tried Madeniform, not recently I know I haven't.

I'm a 34D to DD (probably would fit even better into a 32DD but I've never seen such a thing) and it's even harder to find a supportive swimsuit than a bra.

I am a 32C or a 34B. small rib cage are really hard to find because the cup size are normally big for small rib cage.

I just purchased some yesterday and the lady who helped me said that my size are hard to find. Triumph is a good brand too, whenever I get to cross the border in Canada I always go for Jacob as they have good bras.

Macy's has lots of good bras as well. VS is nice but they are too expensive and I came to a point that the price is not worth it anymore. ;)

I am a 32D and only wear Wacoal and Felina for their strapless. I'm not sure where you're from, but I usually opt to buy them at Dillard's because you can sometimes find some great bargains. Or if you have a Nordstrom Rack around you.

I'm a 34DD and I actually had a saleswoman say to me, "We only carry bras in natural sizes" :scared1:
OK, really?? :confused3

BTW-I told my plastic surgeon and he laughed!!!

I probably have worn the wrong bra size for years - after losing a substantial amount of weight lately, I went for a fitting a few weeks ago.

I have been so much more comfortable with a proper fit and I realized the dd was probably wearing the wrong size too. Off we went to a specialty lingerie store where they measured her. At 17, she wears a 30D....very hard to find!

I have gone from a 42 to a 34...part of that being due to my weight loss & part of it due to previously going up in band size to find cups that fit. At the specialty store, I was able to get my true cup size and a well-fitting band.
(34HH - yikes! I told my dd that it stands for "Holy Hell your ****s are big!")

I was pleased to find some pretty styles - and the better fit has made me look more slender too.

Moral of the story - if you aren't finding what you need at a department store (and I am a big Nordstrom fan, but they only carry up to a G in a few styles), try a good lingerie store - they have a very good selection and are well-trained in fitting.

try figleaves.com

They have all sorts of bras in all sizes..however, go to a lingere store (not in a mall if possible) and be fitted..fitted means trying on several bras - make sure the wire lay flat between your breasts, not lifted up...determine your best size then shop likiea madwoman!

I had a breast reduction January 2008. I went from a 38JJ (Yes, the size exists.) I reduced down to a 38DD and its FABULOUS!!

Make sure you buy well-fitting bras and your breasts will love you for it!

Actually, it's different than the average (36C) and as most of you have probably noted in the past, clothing stores don't like to stock much outside the "norm" range because they want their products to sell quickly. They assume 32A, 34B, etc. I have an easy time at VS, but my sister who is skinnier with a bigger chest was fitted at VS in the store, then told that they don't actually stock that size in stores; she would have to order online. Stellar. She also has a hard time finding pants that stay on - sometimes it pays to be closer to average. Seems like you've gotten some great suggestions on here tho!
