How old is TOO old to dress up and go Trick or Treating? I have to admit I miss the days when they would have costume parties at youngest DS's grade school. Now they don't dress up at the grade school. They have a party but they call it Fall Harvest!

TC

for trick-or-treating itself...the last time I did that, I was in 6th grade, I think. Haven't since. Though I have seen kids my age (highschool) go trick-or-treating, but usually make the homeowners nervous when they stop at their house (fearing their home being egged or TPed? Or some kind of trouble I guess...).

So I think grade school and even the first year or two of middle school is still young enough...after that, it's "go buy your own candy." :)

And I know what you mean about school's not having holiday based parties anymore. I REALLY miss Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter parties...but that was a long time ago, and now it wouldn't be politically correct because of different religions and beliefs. It really sucks. :(

My 6th grader will be going out this year BUT she will be going out with her 5yo sister, her dad and myself. I think she'll get another year or 2 out of it. This year Halloween is on a Friday so I bet you'll see lots of older kids out and unsupervised!
