Does anyone know if the spa at Saratoga Springs or at the Grand Floridian do acrylic nails?

Trying to locate somewhere to get my nails done after I arrive for the week of the wedding and I'm pretty sure my own nails just won't do.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think either do acrylic nails. I asked a couple of years ago and was told no. Just manicures and pedicures.

Do you know what the booking procedures for the Disney Spas and also the one at the Swan & Dolphin are?

They definitely don't at the GF. My acrylic nail (left middle finger) popped off the morning of my wedding as I was getting my hair and makeup done. My mother called the front desk to get someone to come up and fix it. She asked if they do acrylic and they said no. They came up to my room and "fixed" it with powder and glue. About 30 mins later it popped off again! I was kind of freaking out being it was my left hand. They came back up and did the same thing. It looked awful but what could I do. They did charge me $60 for one nail to be fixed. It was crazy. I would advise you if you can to get them done before you leave. That is what I did and I went with the permanent french(not that it helped me anyway)but usually they stay.

As to booking procedures, just call the spa directly and make an appointment. That is what I did for my massage.

If you do decide to do your nails before you leave home and your having acrylics done have your manicurist do a gel or shellac manicure it should last two weeks easy as long as your not uber rough on your nails.

I have shellac done when I go to Disney for regular trips and it last me almost a month sometimes.

i ended up doing the gel/shellac french at my home salon on the wednesday before we left (wedding on the following tuesday). they were great! so glad i didn't have to go of property or deal with the WDW spas - i'm generally not a fan. the facilities aren't up to their cost and i find their sales pitch really overbearing (the cruise ships are worse!). that said, i've read folks saying the salons are alot less high pressure these days. but i don't think they do any artificial nails.

The yacht club does them. Best one I've ever had.

Wow, $60 to fix one nail! I'm sorry you had to go through that.

I'll look into the shellac - I've heard good things about it. I'll also check out the yacht club and maybe some nearby off property ones - I will have a car, just didn't have interest in leaving property. But after looking at the prices for Mandara Spa at the S&D I think I'm better off getting it doen ahead of time or off property.

Thank you for all of your suggestions!

Thanks. I was so mad! We tried to argue it down but of course they would not take it off our room bill. It really annoyed me since we and a lot of guests stayed at the GF for the wedding and we brought in business but what can you do. I had the gel permanent french nails actually and with the exception of that one, the others stayed on.

i know i posted some places earlier but wanted to let you know i got my nails done at the magic nails & day spa last week. http://mgnflorida.com/lbv.html

i didn't get acrylic but got a mani & pedi and they did a great job. it was pretty cheap and they are very close to disney. i didn't make an appt but i went on a monday morning, there was no one there so i got right in.
