for any of you ppl who have typed in codes for sparrow outfit how long did it take you to type codes in until you go costume? how many hours? days? etc
and is there anybody who won suit lately? ( like today or yesterday)

There is no set number of codes that you have to enter.
Some people enter in only a couple and get the costume (lucky dogs!). Others have entered literally thousands and still have not received it.

It's only a matter of getting lucky and getting the right code at the right time (rumored to be every 5000 codes put out).

Hello there.

I got my sparrow costume about the third day after the game was released. I have typed in about 400 codes or so. Good luck getting it!

I enter about 50 a day. When the game first came out i entered thousands the first week. Now its a few a day. Hope I get lucky someday. Sometime I think its not worth the time.

I have typed in 1111 codes and no suit. I traded for three pieces of the suit (still need that hat ;> ), and I still enter a few codes here and there. I know others who have entered hundereds and others who have entered thousands and no suit.

The odds are 1/5000. Good Luck!

I believe the odds are 1 in 5000. Just because you have entered over 5,000 codes, that doesn't change the odds. You could have received 4,999 codes and someone played in between and got the suit in the 5,000 code. It's just bad luck.

Oh, I've only entered 1139 codes so far.
And no costume. They've also made it more difficult to get the codes, so I'm pretty much giving up. Even thought I really want the costume, my computer is too slow to play that silly game.

Yes, I know, if people are getting it in their first few codes, or even their first five hundred, it stands to reason that there are others entering thousands of codes and getting nothing.

So asking how many codes others have entered won't really give you an idea of how many you'll have to enter. Since the odds are so rare, it's pretty much random when/if you'll get one. Which is probably what they intended.

I just lucked out yesterday and finally received a costume. I would have to say it was probably somewhere about 750 codes in since I first started trying weeks ago. The problem for me is I would rather be playing VMK than sitting and enterring codes for hours on end, so I have been slow getting to the magic code. I still have about 1800 codes left to try, but am now just taking it slow or giving codes to friends to try for themselves. I figure if they get a suit then it is theirs for the keeping and anything extra I will trade for some longed for items (i.e. Inferno)

So I think the randomness is high, but you never know if you will be the lucky one, so it doesn't hurt to keep trying.

I just got 17 codes today before VMK opened, and when I went to input them, it said every one of them was invalid. Anybody else encounter this problem today? I hope it isn't permanent.

Ive entered like 2,000 codes and i still havent got the suit! and i met a guest who only entered 49 codes to get his! How many times have you entered the codes?

i just entered another 20 and they worked i wonder what's wrong..

I have experienced something like this, too. It seems that if I enter codes too fast, or enter more than 20 at a time (back when I had that many to enter!) then it stops accepting them. I have gone back and entered the same codes later, and they work fine. So, don't throw those out, they'll probably work later. Also, you might try them on a mule if you have one. Good luck -- I'm still trying for Capt. Sparrow myself!

Thanks for the help. Now if only I could get the Narnia teleporters too, I'd be happy. That and Sparrow are the only two rare items I'm really excited about getting. If someone's willing to donate a matching set of teleporters, I'd appreciate it. I'm willing to trade, but everything I have is fairly common...
