Hey everybody!
I'm back home after my week away at my Mom's and in Camden, Maine. Weather was cool and rainy most of the time. We did some hiking in Camden Hills State Park, which was nice, albeit mucky. And the beautiful views of Penobscot Bay were entirely shrouded in fog and mist. Oddly enough, it didn't bother me at all that I couldn't see anything.
Anyway, took the rest of the week off and have many chores to do. One of which--I will do tomorrow since it will be exactly six months away--is to sign up for the Disney marathon. I have finally committed to do it. My plan for the remainder of the summer is to train for the RFTT 10 k (building back up a base to run 3x/week), and then the marathon plan which I have picked uses your most recent 10 k time to base your training on.
Of course, in true vacation form, I have done nothing over the last two weeks, other than 2 days of hiking. And I know that watching the TDF doesn't count!
Shan Sorry to hear about your injury...hope you heal soon and don't get too discouraged.
Everyone else...will catch up later and keep up the good training.

DH has me extra worried as well. Not a good time for him to be working for the DOD.
) and also to the gym. Got in some weights and a quick bike warmup. I am starting a new training plan this week, and want my XT days to focus more on upper body weight training and abs. We'll see how it goes--I think I need a new exercise set.
Rest day today!!!
Next stop...Boston! I'm a newbie who still hasn't lost any nails (I say that like it's a bad thing).
I couldn't have picked a better first marathon and am really excited!
