On the day US troops entered Bagdhad, an American tank fired on a hotel, mistakenly believing that they were about to be fired upon. In this tragic accident a Spanish journalist/photographer was killed.

I for one am certainly glad that President Bush stood his ground and refused to sign on to the World Court. It's pretty frightening to think that our soldiers who risk their lives daily, could end up in The Hague.

It's pretty frightening to think that you're in a hotel, doing your job and... boom!!! Some blood thirsty moron decides to blow you up.

Frankly, what's frightening is your reference to our soldiers as blood thirsty morons. I find it quite abhorent. If one is in a war zone, leaning out the window to take pictures, they need to assume a certain level of risk, but you obviously belong to the "blame America first" crowd.

While I do wish we had joined the world court,I do not agree with these charges..That said I don't know a whole lot about either issue

I think she's talking about George Bush, in which case, the name fits. It's not right to find the soldiers at fault for carrying out orders, especially Lindy England. It's the higher ups who should end up in the Hague- think Rumsfeld.

Soldiers have a right to refuse an unlawful order... I fully believe Lyndie Should have been prosecuted, along with many others most especially the higher ups

I don't hear you blaming the Spanish journalist.

This isn't about Lyndie England (who knew full well that she was breaking the law). Its about American soldiers in a war zone who believed that they were about to be fired upon. I think its also about the change in the Spanish government and their efforts to separate themselves from the previous administration.

It's about young men and women, and in the case of Lindy England, some not so bright, being put in impossible situations. They shouldn't even be there to commit the mistakes they have made.

That's my opinion. Lindy England should have been discharged and sent back to West Virginia, instead of being used as a scapegoat by the administration. I pity that girl.

That's weird. Jenny got a picture while I was posting. Nice looking family, Jenny.

Yours too, Dawn. Is that at the Poly?

With that particular mindset than we would never go to war for any reason. Mistakes get made, they usually aren't crimes.

While England and other plainly represent fallen nature and individual acts of sadism, it is also clear that what occurred is the responsibility of moral failings in the command structure. Frontline gathered the doicumenst - see Link

I really hope that you aren't calling my dh and his soldiers names. I'm taking great offense to your comment. But oh yeah he fights for your right to call him names.

Impossible situations? Nobody told her to commit the cruel acts that she did. She made her own decisions and she needs to pay for those decisions.

I would never call your husband or his soldiers names. They were not the ones that blew up a building full of innocent people. Sorry if my post offended you, but I stand by my comment.
