Spain coming to WS

but vernon, if they didn't have the service standards that we have over here then we wouldn't have to tip them, right? haha

I just spent a month (I would say LIVED) in Spain with UCF's Study Abroad program and I was missing it today.........that would be so cool if it was the new addition to WS! :)

Give me some paella marinera, sangria and fresh fried potato chips and I'll be as happy as a clam. The restaurant alone would draw me in. I certainly hope this turns out to be true.

I'm with Bob all the way, I agree that Egypt would be very cool. The Indy ride is the one thing in DL that I would love to see in WDW.

I would rather see 2 new multi-culture pavilions:
Expand the African area to be an African Pavilion including several African Nations (including Egypt). Maybe Israel could be included, so they could reuse the simulator they built for the Millenium Village.
And a South American pavilion featuring Brazil and Spain over next to Morocco (either side).
This would add a huge shot of culture (food, entertainment and shops) to a stagnant World Showcase and allow the Countries involved to share the cost.

Ummm..so Universal is all roller coasters with no theme now? No great Dark rides there?

If they're gonna do Multicultural pavilion, I'd like southeast Asia. That fact that India isn't represented is a crime, but southeast Asia deserves representation as well. Of course, countries are chosen by who will pay and that's all that matters. Any addition is welcome.

When the Travel Channel had the Imagineers special on, it was the first I was aware there was an Indy Ride. I thought the idea was super!
Since MGM opened, we have done the Indiana show at least 4 times and don't bother any longer. Unless something changed since we last saw it, I can't see the reason to endure that long line, long show, and oodles of people exiting at the same time!
Does anyone know how many people the ride handles compared to the number admitted to the show? In other words would the expense of a new attraction be worth their while? Whatever country it would be in, I'll vote for it.;)

I'm with YoHo. I would love to see something, anything new added to WS. I do love WS and I love walking the countries. I love the whole idea of WS. It just needs a little attention, and it's not getting it.

I agree Spain would be a welcome to WS. Spain is/was a large influence on how many countries have developed into what they are today. I don't agree on any type of African country. The only thing I think of when you mention Africa is terrorism and pain. I'm sure many people can share in that view.

The very fact that you only think of terrorism and pain with regard to Africa is an excellent argument for an African pavillion. The only time we have news over here of African, South Asia, South or Central American countries are in those locations where things are bad. If life is stable...no news.

I can associate terrorism, pain, oppression with EVERY country that is presently in the world showcase. And in some cases they are a direct cause of the current situation in African countries and the middle east.

I will also add that Morocco is an African nation so the continent isn't utterly unrepresented.
