Spaceship Earth updates?

I know SpaceShip Earth was supposed to close last May. Then everything happened, it got delayed then re-opened over the summer. Currently AFAIK it's still in operation. Has there been any updated projections? I wasn't sure if they were going to just leave it open through the 50th now.

From what I have read, the Spaceship Earth refurb has been indefinitely delayed and will remain operational in its current form for the foreseeable future.

That's a shame. I feel like there's so much on the line with Spaceship Earth as far as redefining EPCOT for all the people who see it for its reputation as a failed concept with dated, campy tech.

Being the centerpiece and the iconic symbol of the entire park, to have it be as it is now just reinforces the bad stereotype. I was really looking forward to seeing what they were going to do with it.
