Can someone who has ridden all three tell me how rock n roller compares to the other two. I have done space mountain and Everest but am somewhat afraid to try rock n roller.

RnR feels more like Everest. But there's a very fast acceleration at the beginning instead of a hill climb.

(EE feels like it goes upside down, but doesn't. It's pretty hard to tell you are doing loops in RnR because it's mostly dark)

If EE fixed the yeti, I would say it's a better coaster.

Space is an old school metal coaster, EE and RnR are much more modern.

I would say the biggest difference is going upside down at least twice. The beginning of the ride is my favorite going from 0-60.

My husband gets motion sickness from SM and EE but not on RR. He thinks it has something to do with having the loud music in your ears.

RnR - very smooth. Fast with 2 inversions, but it is not real high, and VERY FUN

Space is jerky and feels faster than it really is. Both are in the dark, but you have neon lights in RnR

Everest is in between the 2, but does have some Gs in a portion of it. No inversions, but some fairly tight turns.

We will skip Space sometimes, but always have to ride the other 2.

Rock n Roller Coaster is my favorite of the three. The three upside loops unsettle my stomach a bit, but much less than the backwards spiral of Everest does.

Many people seem to find the fast takeoff the scariest part of the ride, but like a PP, I think it's pure fun.

There's never an "ouch" moment for me on it (or Everest) like there is on Space.

RNRRC is the only one that makes my stomach come up to my throat! The only thing that helps is for me to hold my breath when they start counting until the first loop. This one can toss your head around to a little rougher then SM, IMO. I find EE fun, but not as rough as the two others.

RNR is my least favorite. You go into an indoor, somewhat (purposefully) unsavory, chain link fence area to board. Of course you have to get your shoulders strapped down as it's a loop-de-loop. You sit there, strapped in, and wait for your turn for 1 - 2 minutes, looking into a kind of black hole, as the ride is dark so you can't see anything ahead until you take off. Then you suddenly barrel forward at light speed into the loops. It's over fairly quickly.

If you always wanted to be an astronaut & this is your only way to simulate take-off, you might like it.

I love RNRC and EE, I despise SM.

RNRC has a loop and a corkscrew. It is a very quick ride and once you take off o-60, you go immediately into the loop.
SM is soooo jerky, RNRC and EE are much smoother to me.
The last time I rode SM, I felt like I was going to be decapitated. Never again.

Couldn't agree more. RNRC is my favorite with ee pretty close. Both are quite smooth. RNRC seems a little more thrilling to me, but a little rougher (it's not rough but your head bounces a bit more IMO). I rode space once and didn't care for it. It was uncomfortable, jerky, and just had no fun in it. I should try it again though sometime, but have no desire.

I was hesitant to ride RnR the first time, but it's now one of my favorite rides (along with BTMRR). It's the only ride I would wait in a 45-minute line for. I think it's WDW's most exciting ride, but still surprisingly smooth. I personally think that you can tell when you're going upside down, but it's not an awful feeling, and it passes quickly. Just make sure you keep your head back!

Everest, in comparison, is a bit of a snooze for me. I thought it was really slow, and the drops felt shorter than they appeared. I'm not even really a roller coaster person, so I was a bit surprised at how disappointed I was.

SM is a bit more similar to RnR, but I got an intense headache after my second ride. I'd probably still ride it again.

I have done all 3. Here's the best I can describe them for your comparisons as everyone's perception will be different.

  • Space - Fairly tame, but fun because of the unexpectedness of it all since you are in the dark.
  • Everest - I was nervous about this 1, but tried it during our last trip. The end of the backwards part was the only iffy part for me because when it stops suddenly & you get the feeling like you are going to go upside down backwards for a split second it makes my stomach a bit whooshy. All in all though, probably 1 of my favorite rides now.
  • RnR - I wouldn't go on this on our 1st trip mainly because I didn't know how my stomach would handle it, but my DH convinced me to try on our 2nd. The PP that said the most intense part is the take off is probably right. This coaster is the fastest of all of them, but it isn't extreme. The take off from 0 to 57 mph with blaring music gets your heart racing, but as soon as you go into the tunnel it is just like space mountain's bigger brother. The hills seem a little bigger, but again, nothing extreme. There are 2 corkscrew turns, but the 1st 1 you don't know about until you are on the other side it happens so quick. The second is much later in the ride & if you look really close you can see the shadow of it coming, but again it is over in a second. I like this ride a lot now. It never made me feel ill. Personally I'd prefer to ride this 10x in a row than doing ToT again...or worse, Mission Space. :) BTW, the seat bracing in this ride is very good. It is similar in style to that in Mission Space or Stitch that goes over your shoulders & around you. You don't feel like you are moving inside at all.

RnR is my favorite by far! We wait for the first row every time we ride it, and the extra wait is totally worth the experience. There is nothing like feeling the wind in your face and seeing all the neon light up as the music plays.... it just puts a huge smile on my face! It is fast and smooth and fun! Just make sure your head is back against the headrest when you start and you will be fine.

Everest is my second favorite. We also wait for the first row for this one because nothing beats the view you have when you are waiting for the track to change over. I love it, too.

SM is dark like RnR but much jerkier and rougher. I also prefer the front of the car for this ride because I feel like I can see where I am going and brace fore the sudden turns (guess I am just a first row kind of gal :confused3). But this is the hardest one for me because of of the roughness of the ride. But I still love it.

I love Rock in Rollarcoaster. Very smooth and going upside down is fun. I can do Expedition Everest just once per trip. I no longer will ride Space Mountain. It is just too jerky and my neck always hurts when I get off the ride. My last ride was about 3 years ago and when I got off I said, "That's it, I'm not riding it again" and I have kept my word.

OP I learn that how intense the ride is depends on where you are sitting. For example BTMRR is much better in the back and little boring up front.

What part is that scares you ? Do you not like the g force feeling ? Do you not like not being able to see? Or is it dropping feeling that you don't like? I don't like the g force feeling, but don't mind the dropping feeling that is why I can ride TOT all day and enjoy it. But in EE I rather not sit in the front row.

If you have tried EE in the first row I would say the g force feeling is a little more intense than that at RnRR at take off. If you have been in the middle or back it is a lot more intense.

If you decide to try it I would recommend you do don't go in the last row of RNRR your first time stick to the middle for a milder ride. I will say I think RnRR is the most intense ride out of the 3. I don't mind the loops or corkscrews so after the first few second on RnRR I am usually fine.

The takeoff on RNRC scares me so badly. I love it. It is very intense. After the first 10 seconds it is so much fun. And very smooth.

EE and SM are very different from it

I am completely a NON roller coaster person but after seeing my son go on EE by himself on our last trip, I decided to suck it up and try RRC and Space.
Space Mountain was nothing. RRC has that super fast acceleration but I kept my eyes closed and it' wasn't that bad at all. If I can handle it, anyone can.

Once you get past the very beginning when you shoot off on Rock & Rollercoaster, its pretty easy I would say.

I love RNRC and Everest. I would never ride a crazy roller coaster like some of the ones at Universal, but I don't find either of those scary - they are both super fun!! I'm indifferent towards Space...I can take it or leave it

I enjoy all three.

RnRC is my favorite of the three. The take off is very fast and goes right into an inversion, but I really don't think it is bad at all. It's a fun, fast roller coaster that is very smooth. It's also shorter than EE or SM. Everest is probably my second favorite, but it's close. As others have said, you don't go upside down, but you do feel like you do when you are going backwards. To me, that is much rougher on my head/vertigo/nausea than anything RnRc does. Like Space Moutain, it is dark, but it is not as dark. You are supposed to be riding in a limo at night, so rather than it being really dark like Space Mountain, it is much more like driving at night. Give it a try if you liked to Everest and Space Mountain. If you hate it, it'll be over before you know it and you can go on with your day. If you love it, I'm betting you will get off the ride and get right back in line.
