With the old opening ceremony we'd head to Tomorrow Land and walk on the rides mentioned without much waiting then we'd burn through our Fast Passes. Is this still doable with the new opening?

It has been for us, but we tend to go at off-season. It looks like you're going in October, which may be more crowded. I still think it's fairly doable. Space, then Buzz, then PM should be achievable. Good luck!

We were there in March. A decent # of people headed to SM as expected but it said 10 min wait when we headed to Buzz. Buzz was a walk on and we rode twice in a row no wait. SM still said 10 min when we got off Buzz the first time but I think was up to 15 after the second ride. People mover was empty the whole time. I'd save that for last.

When we were there in October in 2014 we walked on Space Mountain no waits at all!

did SM and Buzz easily at RD in April. Could have done multiple rides with no wait.

That is exactly our morning routine - and we travel often in October.

2x SM
Off to Buzz and the Peoplemover. And then another round on SM (if the wait is less than 20 min, and it usually is).

We start our MK FP choices at 1030 and usually hit the first one around 11/11:15

I find most folks are zipping off to Fantasyland first thing.

The only catch we have found is that sometimes SM is not open right away. There seems to be very little rhyme or reason for when they do this, but it happens. We hit SM at RD last Thursday and were able to ride three times before the wait hit 40 minutes. On Sunday, we got there, and the line was backed up to under the People Mover overpass because they weren't letting anyone in yet. We waited about 10 minutes before the line started moving.

I don't think you'll have a problem. Its been my experience that most folks head for 7DMT or Peter Pan after the opening show, and it takes them a while to trickle in to the south end of Tomorrowland.

I'd like to piggy back on this. My wife and I used to hit SM x2, Buzz x2 and then move through Fantasy Land (pre-rehab), skipping Peter Pan, ride HM and we would often be at Splash right around lunch. Fast Passes were rarely needed.

With the new rides and FP+ system, I'm thinking about changing it up. We have a 2.5 year old son and need to make sure we hit Peter Pan and the Seven Dwarves ride. My plan was to get FP+ for 7DMT, PP and either Tomorrowland Speedway or the new Little Mermaid ride, aiming for a first FP time of 9:30-10:30. We'd still rope drop Space Mountain and Buzz and then use the FP as we move through Fantasyland. Any suggestions?

consider a FP for Winnie the Pooh instead of tLM. You could hit Speedway and tLM after SM and Buzz with little wait. Just an idea.

Is Pooh really more popular than Little Mermaid? It used to be a 10min walk on around 10-11am.

I think you'll be fine.

Last year in October, on a 10 day trip, we decided to hit Tomorrowland, and that side of the Fantasyland on our first morning with the intent of leaving right before the parade.

We walked on Buzz, then did the Speedway with about a 5 minute wait, walked on the Teacups, used a FP for Space, did COP, PeopleMover, LaughFloor, Dumbo, Barnstormer, FP at Pooh, Lunch at the Plaza, and SDMT with FP. We did get caught up in the parade crowd as we were leaving, but were out the gate at 3:30 and on our way to Epcot.

All in all, everything went about as well as we had hoped. Longest wait for an attraction was the LaughFloor, just because we had to wait through the previous show. Plaza took a little longer than expected, which pushed us later into our FP window for SDMT, and caused us to not get out before the parade started.
