I would love to know too... We went on it in 2001 and I thought it was a little rough if you were short. I actually got off the ride crying because it beat my head up so much. It will be interesting to hear what changes were made to the ride... DLP is my favorire park, maybe this warrants a return trip (like I needed an excuse)..
But having ridden it, it's a little bit faster, a lot smoother, you now get launched from the very bottom of the 'cannon', all the visual effects on the ride have changed (it's now not a journey to the moon, but one into deep space past comets and meteors) and the music is different (the only bit I was disappointed by - the new score isn't as good).
I went about 4 years ago so my memory is a little fuzzy, but I remember the ride going upside down - I didn't expect that. I thought it was rougher than the WDW one.
Space Mountain : Mission 2 in Paris is pretty much the Rock'N'Roller coaster, without Aerosmith. Same company designed the coaster, very similar in most respects.
