Space Mountain ride vehicle toy in the parks?

Hi everyone! Weird question. Do they still sell the small metal ride vehicle toys in the parks? I know you used to be able to buy them in like a four pack with four different ride vehicles in each. I'm desperately looking for the Space Mountain one to use as a cake topper on my newphews birthday cake next month. He's turing seven and he's spent the year in and out of the hospital for a serious on-going health issue and has two open heart surgeries in the last two years, so I'd like to make it really special for him. He's having an outer space themed party andhas requested a Space Mountain themed cake, since that's his favorite ride at Disney World. I was just wondering if I could call Disney merchandise and order one. Does anybody know for sure if these things still exist in the parks and how much they are? I saw some on Ebay , but they seemed really expensive. I thought maybe that's because they weren't making them anymore. Thanks for any insight you guys can give me.

If all else fails you could use a photograph and have them print it on your cake. Maybe a space theme photo or an actual photo of space mountain. I know my grocery store can do that.

Thanks so much for the good ideas. My aunt makes cakes and she's making him an awesome one that actually looks like the Space Mountain building, so we just really wanted the little ride vehicle to sit on top of the flat part of the cake next to the building part. I can order one from Ebay, just thought it might actually be cheaper to order direct from Disney merchansise if they still exist in the park shops.

Maybe get a couple space mountain lanyard pins and put them on the cake. You could place them on a piece of fondant icing so they do not get messy. Then he would still have the pins after you cut the cake.

I'm fairly sure I seen these the last time we were at Downtown Disney...There was busses, trams and airplanes in one pack and then some of the ride cars in another.

Thanks so much for another great idea. I really appreciate it. But, I'm defininately going to get the little ride vehicle. I want him to have the toy to play with after. He'll be much more into that than pins or anything else. lol. I know I can get it on Ebay if I need to . Just wondering if anyone has bought them or at least seen them for sale in the parks or resorts recently....and it seems like maybe they are still available. Thanks everybody!

Cool idea GEM! If you get a chance, please post a pic of the cake when it's complete with the ride vehicle. I'd love to see it, and I'm sure others here would also like to see it(and maybe steal your idea!)
