I am have been looking at the Disneyland Paris UK website and I noticed that Space Mountain is listed as closed for Maintenance.. it is on the closed list through the beginning of May. Does anyone know how long it's scheduled to be down? I am going early June and would be seriously bummed if it was still closed 4 months from now.

It's a planned 6 month closure - was announced last year back in October - reopenning date atm is 24/7/15

oh man I am TOTALLY bummed now.
(But, thanks for the info)

I thought it was only going to be closed for six months but when I booked our Halloween trip last week the CM told me that it will be closed while we are there. I don't do roller costers but my daughters will be diss appointed if it's true :(

What date are you travelling? I was banking it'd be open when we were there especially as It's A Small World and Adventure Isle are apparently going to be closed. :(

I have not heard this and after checking no one else is suggesting that it will be closed after the 24/7/15.:confused3

It will be again closing in 2016 for a 2nd refurb and that's when they will be changing the seats.

You've saved the day! I was sobbing into my cornflakes at the prospect of it being closed.

When I booked our Christmas trip we were told it's going to be closed then. Sorry everyone!

I've phoned here this am after reading this and no one aware of next closing date for the 2nd rehab.:confused3

I'd find it strange them closing it again only 3 months after reopenning after a 6 month closure ? And I'd understand it closing after Christmas as it's low season but between Halloween and Christmas I'm not hearing it.

Were these CMs in the UK and when are you off exactly as I'm going over there today and Monday so I'll ask on site face to face.

I know DLP do strange things but this would be really odd :sad2:

I think some are getting it confused with the big thunder mountain refurbishment which is due to start later this year.

Space mountain is definitely due to re-open in July ☺

Ah that would explain a lot :thumbsup2 I didn't even think of that :rotfl:

Anyway I asked several people today and it's not SM that is shutting again this year - next year is a possible but not this year :goodvibes

Carrie_Cat: Please tell them they need to be done working on Space Mountain by June 10th as I will be there celebrating my 50th birthday and it will be totally ruined if I can't go on Space Mountain. ;) I am spending a lot of money for this once in a lifetime trip.

(P.S. this is a post is not a serious post.. just having some fun :))

I think the likely hood of it happening is about the same as getting you in a pair of speedos :rolleyes1

You'll just have to come back and celebrate a 2nd time :jumping1:
