Would they really have it closed for the entire Ghost Galaxy season?

Right? I remember our April, 2013 visit - someone was injured or something at WDW's Space Mountain, and the one at DL went down, too - immediately, with almost no notice, right before our trip.I would think if there was a safety issue, it would be taken down immediately to address instead of waiting a couple months.
The safety issue was at DL Space Mountain. A contractor fell 45 feet and was seriously injured.Right? I remember our April, 2013 visit - someone was injured or something at WDW's Space Mountain, and the one at DL went down, too - immediately, with almost no notice, right before our trip.
It wasn't quite like that. The accident happened in November, but the ruling came out in April. They also took down Matterhorn and Soarin' at the same time to be ahead of the game. They were fine just over $80K for the accident. Also, safety upgrades/updates aren't all like the contractor incident. Cal OSHA was involved and when they say shut the ride down you'd shut that ride down yesterday if you could. Non-emergency safety upgrades are what prevent the emergency safety upgrades!
I think I got confused! I must have been thinking about a different incident, OSHA was involved in a big way, I think Alice in Wonderland was effected... Definitely meandered my wayIt wasn't quite like that. The accident happened in November, but the ruling came out in April. And, I find it odd how little warning DL seems to give for these decisions, whether to reopen or to temporarily close attractions. I understand that DL is more of a locals park than WDW, but there are still people coming from long distances.
