How noticeable is the space difference between a Deluxe Oceanview w/ Verandah vs Deluxe Family w/ Verandah?

We sailed on the Fantasy earlier this year and was given a Deluxe Family w/ Verandah. We also have the murphy bed, so it gave us a ton of floor space. We used that extra space to keep things like our laundry bin, etc.

We loved it so much that we decided to go back but we booked the Deluxe Oceanview w/ Verandah this time. I'm worried we will miss the extra space and the room might feel small.
Is it that much of a noticeable difference? Its a $400 price difference to switch on our 7 night sailing right now.

EDITED: Its just two of us but we're chronic over packers who need lots of space LOL

My husband and I have been having this discussion about our upcoming Dream cruise, when the price difference is about $900. My take is that the additional few feet of space between the sofa and the veranda is not that noticeable and not worth that much money for just 2 or 3 people. (With 4 people, I can see the value, because my son prefers the Murphy bed to the sofa or bunk.) My husband’s take is that having a larger room will help his mild claustrophobia and allow him to bump into me less.

For $400, it might be worth it if you have a planned use for the extra space.

Depends on the family size. My family of 4 was just in a Deluxe Family w/ Verandah on our last cruise and I would absolutely spend the extra $400 for the added space on a 7 night cruise. If you're a party of 2 then it might not be worth it.

It's not just the space. The Deluxe Family w/ Verandah rooms have a better layout, too. The fridge is in a better spot, there's more room to walk between the furniture, and everything just feels better. I had a Deluxe Family w/ Verandah for my first few cruises on the Dream-class ships and when I finally had a normal Deluxe Verandah, I couldn't stop noticing how much better the Family room is.

We're just two people. I think the difference would be even more bothersome with more people.

I'd do an extra $400 over 7 nights for sure.

I like Adam, good that I watched as I assumed the Family always had a murphy bed, that is why it's "family" so 5 fit.. good to know not all fit 5

For $400 for 7 days, I'd take the extra space. It's $58 a day for extra space, a better lay out and a nicer bath as well.

We've done both, just the 2 of us. I wouldn't pay any extra for the relatively small extra space.
Same for the two of us. In fact, we thought the drawer space was organized better in the smaller room, so the only real advantage was the circular tub. We also prefer to be closer to the midship elevator lobby, and the closest family verandah rooms moved up further aft than we like.
