If you pack using space bags, how do you get the air out of them before you return home?:worship:

I've wondered this too! I think you can roll them and manually get a lot of the air out, but I'v never been able to get them real flat doin that.

I use the smaller ones that are meant to be rolled but I have been known to ask a mousekeeper to use their vaccum.

Another vote for the travel ones. Life and space savers ;) But it's nice to know that you can borrow a vacuum if needed :thumbsup2

I also used the rolling kind. I had 2 large suitcases packed for a family of 5 for 8 days with a December travel date. I needed to bring shorts and winter vests. etc. I always use them and I always will. They worked great!:)

What about one of those air pumps that is for a mattress that reverses to help get the air back out? Would the hole be the right size?

I just used space savers for the first time this summer for a 2 week camping trip I went on and they are wonderful! I am going to use them for Disney as my goal is to only take one checked bag and 2 carryons for myself and my 2 daughters. As I am a dvc owner I will have a vacuum in my villa to use, but I believe you can certainly ask housekeeping to borrow a vacuum and explain why you need it or pack an electric or battery operated air pump (that is what I used coming home from camping).

I have seen these bags but never used them. Do your clothes get wrinkled? If they are as good as they sound I will be using them to save space too.

They are great to pack with , but remember that you'll be able to get more in the suitcase and that = more weight. They do still weigh bags at airlines and the over costs are expensive.....I can vividly remember being in an airport frantically shoving clothes from bag A to B to save on the charges---not fun!
However, if the come up with a" fix my loaded suitcase gameshow"....I'm in!!!!!

Yes your clothes do get wrinkled. For my camping trip, our clothes were in them for probably 2 days and everything had to be shaken out and such.
