Space Bags Question

Hi All!

Bought a big box of Space Bags at Costco...and I must admit, I'm not sold. I filled a large one with sweaters from my winter storage bin, and it really didn't seem to be worth it - not much space saved at all.

Is there anything you would NOT put in a space bag? I'm wondering about my down comforter - would it re-gain its loft after a summer in a Space Bag?

Any insights, tips welcome!

You do realize you have to get the air out for it to decrease in size, right?
They either have a spot you attach to your vacuum to suck out the air or the smaller ones you can squeeze out the air.
I saved a least half the size and they were fine when I opened them 9 months later.
I personally love them!

Yes, thanks, these are large, the type you use a vacuum with. The bags advertise to save 1/3 space, and since I already had this bin so tightly packed, that's probably why it just didn't seem to be worth the time and money, in this instance.

So, I was thinking other uses, like my down comforter, where it may come in handy.

We just did my summer/winter closet change over on Saturday... my husband loves the space bags. We use them for comforters, clothes, guest pillows, camping soft stuff, halloween costumes (soft stuff in general)

Dh uses the shop vac for sucking the air out. They do save about half the space in our closets
