You can always leave it up to fate and set an alert but then not be disappointed if one never opens up. The kitchen sink is a great consolation prize!! You can also just wait in line for the lounge and have a much more cost-effective experience.
I was fortunate enough to get in the first week when it was walk-up only. We loved every second of it, including the food, and the reviews were really positive that first week. I’ve increasingly seen bad reviews more recently, and people have especially been trashing the food. So I’m a little worried they went all out the first week to get the blogger/influencer hype and now they’ve already dropped in quality. Unfortunately a lot of themed restaurants at Disney have crappy food because they get reservations on atmosphere alone, so it wouldn’t be surprising if that happens here. The good news is that if Space 220 is doing that, word will get out and reservations will be on par with like BoG and CRT (so competitive but not impossible).
