We loved the lounge. IMHO it has better views than the lower seating and it was nice to not be bound to the prix fixe menu. We were a little disappointed in Disney Signature dining on this trip a couple weeks ago. Things were off in some places that were tried and true so I wouldn't have been happy to pay a lot for another meal that I was forced to pay for and be disappointed. I get a sense that supply issues might have impacted menus. On a side note Cali Grill was amazing and worth every penny or maybe that was after being disappointed elsewhere for not much less...
But I digress.
I would think they could make certain modifications. For what it is worth, we tried the sliders and the kids liked them I would think they could leave a thing or two off. The lobster roll was good but for me it had too much lettuce and the roll itself was a bit overpowering although the lobster was good. My parents loved it.
The kids loved the Brussel sprouts and the cauliflower and the blue pop rocks drink was awesome. We DON'T really like any sweet drinks at Disney (not blue milk, not Pongu pongu and very few drinks at Ogas), they are just tooo sweet, but this one was good...actually really good and it was fun to drink it and have the pop rocks popping in your mouth, it brought me back to my childhood and I ordered a second one for a couple of us to share. The calamari was so so....it wasn't as fresh as I would have liked, but if it were fresher on another day, the crunch was great and oil wase fresh and the side dipping sauce was good. The kids ate it anyway and enjoyed it but the love calamari.
Suprisingly so, we had those few things and were totally satisfied, but it was on a day where we had the Boathouse for Dinner and didn't want to load up...but it worked out perfect and it was fun to be there knowing that it was so impossible to get into and I was shocked to see some tables empty when there was a pretty ridiculous line outside. I think it was one of the only parts of the trip where things didn't feel crowded...
