Spa Waxing Appointments

Hi there,

I am asking this question of behalf of my darling wife, how easy is it to get waxing appointments in the Spa. My wife normally uses the Spa a few times but was totally unaware the waxing service was available in in the Vista Salon.

You might want her to get waxed at home before your trip because it's not good to go out in the sun after you get waxed because your skin is more senitive and could burn in those areas more than others. (depending on where she plans on waxing )

Waxing is something I would prefer to have done by an esthetician I know well--I would be too worried about being inadvertently hurt by a stranger. Depending on the sensitivity of the area that is waxed, the skin can be noticeably red for a number of hours afterwards. Since a waxing lasts for several weeks, it could be easily done about 2 weeks before leaving on a cruise.

I cannot say I even knew they had waxing services! I would agree with previous poster that you need to be out of the sun 24 hours after waxing! I would suggest a day or two before vacation. Besides I am sure they overcharge and waxing can be done poorly so unless you know you have a good person, I would not suggest it!

I am pretty confident that waxing is no longer available at the Spa. Unless they have (very recently) brought it back - and I don't seen any mention of it on the DCL website.

Can anyone else confirm?
