I am surprising wife with massage for both of us during our sept. trip. Can anyone make recommendations for us. What is you favorite resort for a massage. Does anyone know Approx prices. I have seen the price sheet for Mandara spa, which looks amazing!

While I didn't have a massage, I really liked the spa at Animal Kingdom Lodge. My stepdaughter on the other hand swears that the spa at Grand Floridian is to die for - and she had a massage.

Can I make an appt at a spa other than the one at my resort?

My wife went to the Saratoga Springs Spa when we stayed there. It was really nice and she loved it. Definately recommend it but be prepared to pay $$.

DD19 and I have used the spa at the Dolphin and Grand Floridian. We found them both to be very nice. I will say.....that the location of the spa at GF is "better" (in my opinion) than Mandara Spa (Dolphin). Mandara is right next to one of the hotel elevators. The lobby is huge and noise really echoes. Even when we were in the inner part of the spa, we could hear kids screaming next to the elevator. This kinda defeats the quiet, relaxing atmosphere you expect when visiting a spa. The services were fine, the location was not.

DW thoroughly enjoyed both her massages last week, one at GF Spa, one at Zahanati in AKL. The Platinum Plan includes one spa treatment per person... we "cheated" and she used mine... the included treatment was a 50 minute Swedish... she payed $15 to upgrade to deep massage on one of them.

I have only been to the GF... but every time I go I am so pelased with my experience. The lounge is quiet... and I love the iced tea they have available! Plus they have their own line of grapefruit scented shower products that they keep in the spa showers... it smells amazing! I always end up bringing home some of the shower gel and moisturizing lotion. I usually opt for a swedish massage... and the technicians are great... just the right amount of pressure. I always feel like I'm walking on air when I leave!
