I'm renting DVC points to stay at BWV in May. I was thinking about doing one morning at either SS or GF spa, but then realized BWV has it's own health club. Does anyone know what if any spa services they offer? and their fees? Thanks!!

You should find info on all the services and prices that each center offers.

I am a massage therapist at SSR Spa, and I'm happy to answer any questions about SSR that I can :flower:

I have some questions for you, if you don't mind! We're currently wavering between GF and SSR spas... we're doing tea at the Grand Floridian so am somewhat considering it, but have also heard that since SSR is nicer.

Your thoughts? Also, we'll have four in our party (three adults, one child). The child (9yo) is getting the My First Manicure and Pedicure (she doesn't want to have a facial), but the rest of us aren't sure yet what we're booking. If we each booked a similar/same service, could they be done simultaneously, or are there enough aestheticians at a given time to accommodate that?

Are there any treatments which you particularly recommend?

Thanks! Great to see a spa employee on here!

Thanks Aimee. SS and GF sound wonderful, and I may do that, but I was really wondering what was offered at BWV since I would be staying there. If I do decide to go to either GF or SS how soon would I have to book it? Could I just wait until I got down there and then decide? Also I would want to have my spa morning on one of my last days when I know I would be sore and tired. What treatments would you specifically recommend to get me reved back up for my trip home and work Monday morning? By the way I have an AP. I know AP holders get a discount, but is it just for one service or is it for whatever I have done that day?

These are very loose estimates...

Usually we can accommodate up to 4 guests having their nails done at a time, but I've only seen three. That would depend on the of nail technicians scheduled for the time you plan your services.

Usually there are two estheticians scheduled at a time to provide facials.

Usually there are 4 to 7 massage therapists scheduled who can do massage, scrubs, body treatments, and hydrotherapy.

A Nine year old can have nail or facials, but an adult would need to accompany her if it was a massage or body treatment.

So.... all four in your party can definately be accommodated and have your treatments at the same time :flower: And plan some time after to lounge in the whirlpool and or steam and sauna after!

As far as recommending services, there's something about EVERYTHING we offer that I love! For what I personnally do, The hydrotherapy treatment is phenomenal. I think I see the most relaxation from guests with that one. It's definately a treatment that will melt you! The Algae wrap is another that I love getting myself. It does amazing things for your skin as well as your body. The parrafin wrap is warm and enveloping. The maple sugar body polish smells great and softens and hydrates your skin.... I could go on and on ;)

:earsboy: I guess I'm a little biassed :teeth:

Hope this helps a little!

I would book as soon as you decide when and where so you have your choice of appointment times! At SSR, we generally have appointments available, but you may not get your first pick of time if you wait until say, that day.

As for 'pick me up' treatments, I would definately reccommend the Marine Algae Wrap or the Maple Sugar Scrub. The Marine Algae Wrap is extremely nurishing and balancing for your whole body. The Maple Sugar Scrub is very stimulating, and it smells yummy! Just like the candy store in the Magic Kingdom! And let's not forget that massage is fantastic too! We have some aromatherapy oils that have 'pick me up' properties!

The AP discount is just for one treatment as published in the AP sleeve, but I will double check when I go back to work Sunday!

Hope this helps!

You'll love the maple sugar body scrub. Can you close your eyes and smell the Main Street Confectionary in the Magic Kingdom? That's what you'll small like!
