I understand by reading this forum that ressies must be made asap for the spa. Here's the question....I am going on my first disney cruise and wanted to know what is the best time (or most popular time) to book....I'm assuming it is on the days at sea, but what time is the best? I figured all the experienced cruisers could give me some good tips...so I can get a great spa treatment but not miss anything good going on the ship! Thanx for all your help...these boards do become ADDICTING!!!:Pinkbounc

As soon as you board the ship go to the spa to make your reservations. There will be a line of people if you wait a little later and plus it is first come, first serve on reservations.

I always book reservations for the days at sea and the very last afternoon (late afternoon to early evening). I just got back from the May 17th Eastern cruise and was able to book Full Back Massages on all 3 days at sea and also the last night before I needed to get ready for dinner. The full back massage is awesome! You might want to try that out.

I'd like some advice on this too! I'd like to try the Surial Bath with DH, but our time is very limited as we're only doing 3 nights. We're not getting off the ship in Nassau, so I was thinking that I would schedule it for that day, but what about timing?

Hey diznygirrl. Just noticed you're from West Chester. My Mom lives in Media. Visited the helicopter museum in your area last year and, years ago, dated a lovely girl who attended the University there...

We tried the Surial Bath one time and we didn't like it too much. The Steam room was way too hot, burns your feet and you can't sit down on the seats, even after taking the hose and squirting it off with cool water. The draining system in there was bad. We kept the door open from the steam room and kept the water hose going from time to time (because it was unbearably hot) and the water was standing around inches deep.

We would have like to have a better place to sit/lay down. There is a small bench but not a lot of room if you know what I mean. ;) The shower didn't work half the time and the steam room seem to never stop so it was way too hot.

Anyway, maybe it was just a bad day in that room. Just thought I would share my story.

BD: What a small world it really is! The helicopter museum is just about a mile from my house -- I've been there a few times with DD's (9 & 6) and their friends. I don't know anything about the lovely girl from the University, though!

Hi Lisa.

I'd love to. But all of your co-workers? Way out of my budget...

Last time I was in Michigan, my friend dropped me off at a bus depot on the inskirts of Ypsilani. I had been working with her for a time in Rio, outside Madison. Traveled on to a former stomping ground in Ohio and then good ole New York. Ah yes, the days before parenthood - although the memories are more pleasant than all those former realities now faded in the distance of where I am today...

Yeow! Just reread that. And I don't even read Romance novels. lol.

If I'm ever in the area, lunch it is.

Yes, B.D., I know how much you love this area... how does that song go? "I spent a week there one night....." but, that song immortalized Toledo, Ohio, the home of Maxwell Klinger and the Toledo Mudhens, not Ypsilanti, Michigan. But, I guess in your opinon, pretty much the same!! Toledo's close though, 30 minutes away.

:p :p
