We're getting ready to leave on Saturday and I REALLY want to do a "spa something"... does anybody have any recommendations? I checked out Barb & Tony (the cruise gurus) website, so I have a basic idea of what they offer.

Has anybody had the Aromaspa Ocean Wrap and Well Being Massage or the Ionithermie Algae Super-Detox? I looked for a "we promise it will suck off at least 50 pounds of food" massage, but couldn't find one. Any comments, suggestions..or even complaints about yucky treatments would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

The wrap (which I always refer to the seaweed wrap) is one of my two favorites, and it must not be too bad as I finally talked hubby into doing one on our three-peat and he loved it so much that he booked another for the last of the three cruises. Be sure to combine it with a half body (back) massage. I think you can add on a facial too for the ultimate in decadence! With the Well Being Massage, I recommend adding reflexology.
I was the demo person for the Ionithermie once, but I don't know if I lost any inches as they didn't measure me. I wouldn't do that one again, and I wasn't impressed by the chakra capsule either. Other than that, I love just about everything else (and I think I've worked my way through most or all of it!).
And don't forget to spend some time in the Rainforest if you get a chance. Heated tile loungers....mmmmmm! I want one for my house!

Reading the description, it looks like the Aromaspa wrap comes with a back massage...do you add to that?

PS. Your website ROCKS!!!

Skip the ionithermie and go for a relaxing treatment. My favorite is the AFB (Absolute Face & Body) but if you want to go for a budget version the spa taster is a good choice. :)

I think you can get it with or without the massage...I always specify "with massage" just to be sure!
I'm glad you like my website...hopefully I'll get some good updates out there this weekend. It's going to be competing with my schoolwork time...I put my doctorate on hold for a few months, but I only have something like four more classes to go so now it's back in the school grind--ugh!

I had a "good old fashioned massage" which was quite wonderful! I wasn't going to, but a coworker raved about it. She said there was something very special about the slight sway of the ship with the massage, and she was quite right!

I also had a manicure and DH and I did the Surial.

Next time I plan on trying the saweed wrap.

Thank you everybody!!! Sounds like a seaweed wrap is a good way to go!
