Just curious what all they offer and what experiences anyone may have had. DH and I will be there for 20th anniversary, and are thinking of maybe a couples massage, or some sort of spa package. Tell us whatcha know about it!

I called a couple of days ago and made an appointment for a pedicure. It will be my second visit to the spa.

DW and DD indulged in the Spa right before New Year's. It was part of their Christmas presents.

They had a pedicure. It took 50 minutes. (Lord, what goes on back there? Isn't that like five minutes a toe?)

But they loved it. I went fishing.

MY DD, DIL and I all had Swedish Massage's on last Mother's Day. It was very nice. I would go again. My DIL goes to that Spa every time she goes to WDW. She loves it.

Hi there!

Grew up in natural health care. My dad was a chiropractor and had a degree in sports medicine as well. We had a full Nautilus rehab center in his office. So, I have been exposed to all kinds of spas and therapys! The Spa at Saratoga is run very well.
Two years ago I was hit by a semi on my way down to SSR. It was a mild accident...long story...and my dad recommended that I get into the spa for a massage. I went through my spinal history with the therapist and explained what had happened on the way down. The gal that treated me did an excellent job! It definitely helped the muscles relax and heal.

Splurge and go for it!

I can't wait to try it! This trip is all about getting away and relaxing, so this will be perfect!

I offered my wife the chance to hit the spa before taking the SSR tour. I was interested in buying in, my wife not so sure. Now we are owners, and the spa is what did it for her (and the DTD proximity). And my wife can't wait to go back to spend some more time at the Spa. I asked her if we should try some of the other resorts, and she said that was fine as long as we spent some time back at SSR.

I'm with you Dreamfinder. I have no idea what goes on back there. She's trying to get me back there on the next trip (first trip home).

DH & I are going to try the Spa this year for the first time as well :goodvibes, we just took a tour last year of it. Hope you guys have a great time, and " Happy 20th Anniversary" :sunny:

I took some girlfriends to OKW in Nov. and we all booked treatments at the spa at SSR. Even tho I was the only DVC member, ALL of them got the DVC discount which saved a lot of $$$$. Facials and massages wre very nice. ENJOY!

I used the spa at SSR in March, and I would recommend it.
The spa lounge is set up nicely and is very relaxing. I had shiatsu done and I could barely walk out of there. :teeth:

The spa is fantastic. I have used both the GF Spa and SSR - both are lovely but SSR had the edge. They have a lot of treatment rooms, a wide variety of treatments, and the equipment is impressive.

I had a pedicure and they actually seat you in this chair which massages you whilst you soak your feet. It is amazing. They also offer add ons during the treatment such as paraffin wax. It is great, but the add ons can soon make the treatment v pricey.

Mind you, I noticed they push the add on treatments there, but they didn't try to get you to buy loads of products like they do at the GF spa.

I completely agree with everyone that the SSR spa is awesome!

I wanted to add that I had a manicure done last Oct on our DCL cruise, and it in no way compared to my experience at SSR. It was almost sterile in comparison. Never again will I have spa services on DCL. I will wait and visit SSR or go to Vegas! LOL!

At SSR I had the massage (how embarrassing, I snored my way through it, it was sooooo relaxing) and I had the pedicure, which btw lasted the longest of any pedicure I ever had. No chipping etc. it was excellent and took a good hour! They really know their feet! :rotfl2:
