Souvenirs

I read a recommendation on this site for good places (outside of the park) to buy Disney souvenirs but I cannot locate the msg now. The member mentioned a Disney outlet where all of the off-season items from MK end up when they are removed from the park stores. I am planning to take my DD to get souvenirs OUTSIDE the park BEFORE we even go in so that she will spend more time on the rides and overall experience than begging for every little item she sees in the store windows. Can anyone help?

I've never been to Belz, but I found pretty good deals on authentic WDW merchandise at the Premium Outlet store.

We just returned from our first ever trip - the best souvenirs we picked up were the pressed pennies and the book to hold them. (pennies cost 51 cents, and the book was $6) My kids LOVED looking for the machines wherever we went, and many of them 'match' with rides or things we did. Since we've been back, both of my kids ( ages 5 and 9) have looked at their books numerous times.....That was a better souvenir than any of the other things we bought!!!

I do those too! I found all the current locations and which designs at each location on Deb's website! Very happy!

I love the Character Premiere outlet stores! I prefer the Belz location, but the Premium Outlets are closer to WDW. We bought lights chasers for $6 (you'll pay $13 in the park.) I bought a Mickey shirt for DH for $10, and a plush Minnie for $4. This was just 3 weeks ago at the Premium Outlet location. We bought a bunch of stuff at the Belz location last summer, but I don't remember the prices.

That sounds great in theory, but if it were my kids, they'd still be begging for everything under the sun. (and in the store windows.) Ha!!
