Souvenirs

Passports at Epcot!!!!!! They are only $10 and come with a button and stickers for each country. The CM from each country stamps them and writes your child a message in their language. Many of them write your child's name in their language. My son was very excited to take his to school today! Very neat item IMO. (For younger kids you can also get the free masks which are also nice.)

My daughter did the Pick A Pearl in Epcot and had it made into a necklace, it's beautiful!!

But besides that, and not to sound corny here, but my favorite things I come away with are our photos. We make a scrapbook of each vacation and load it with the pictures and our thoughts, some restaurant receipts, a couple other mementos, and that's always our favorite souvenir!

Like a pp, I also picked a pearl at japan in Epcot and made it into a necklace and I absolutely love it! I alsmot plan my outfits to where the necklace would like the best. hehe

Our favorite souveniers are the pictures we have taken with PhotoPass....lets us see how we age over the years :rotfl:

I like buying souvenirs that I can use in everyday life at home, so one that I really love is a rose gold Skagen Mickey watch that I bought myself as a graduation present during my trip last May. It's gorgeous and I get to look at it every day and remember the trip (and be thankful that school is OVER!). I also got a really cute bag last weekend that I've been taking to work each day--it's pink with madras plaid handles and has WDW stenciled in white on the front with a madras silhouetted Mickey overlaying it. It's cute and functional and is a nice reminder of the trip, short though it was. :)

We get a personalized Christmas ornament every trip and I love those but only get to see them at Christmas time. I am going to have to echo the above posters and say that my pick-a-pearl necklace is probably my favorite overall souvenier. DH paid for the pearl but DS (11 at the time) bought the silver dolphin setting with his own money for me. He says he is going to buy me another one this trip but I told him to spend his money on something he wants. We'll see what happens.

I always get the Mickey Mouse pens, I buy them by the dozens. My wife always gets Christmas ornaments.

With less than 60 bucks a day for food it looks as if we may not have any extra money for souvies! :scared1:

I collect shot glasses but I may only be able to get one. We are taking in sandwiches though so maybe just maybe we wont eat too much extra than that.

I use my Mickey pizza cutter all the time. Another fave is the antenna topper...I don't think I could find my car w/o them. Currently my car is sporting a beautiful green Kermit.

Well, not purchased, but I got pregnant on our honeymoon at Disney! Well, technically it was Orange Lake CC :rolleyes1

She is my miracle souvie, as many were lost before and after, but she made it...I joke it was the Disney magic that she made it to term :goodvibes

One of my favorites is my refillable Disney mug. We use it all the time when we have our coffee. It is a pleasant reminder of our wonderful trip. It also does not burn your hands when you hold it unlike a regular coffee mug.:lmao:

Do you remember how much it cost to do this? Thanks.

I did pick a pearl with my mom in 1983. I still have the pearl as does my mom. I had DS#3 pick two pearls for me at SAB on our trip this month. He picked a gold and a black pearl! The black is gorgeous! The cost of the pearls was @$15/each + tax. Then there is the cost of the setting which varies depending upon how simple your setting is, if there are diamonds, gold vs silver, etc. I didn't like the settings and they were very expensive with not high quality diamonds so I just took the pearls home with me in a little baggie to have set by my local jeweler.

My next favorite souvenir is the silhouettes I had done of the kids. I had this done with DH in 1993 and I'll be hanging all of them together on the wall. The best part they give you two copies of the silhouettes so I was also able to give a set to my mom for her birthday which was the day after we got back.

AWWWWWWWWWWW!!! :goodvibes:love:

I was actually thinking about this after I posted about the pearls.

My hubby and I collect shotglasses so we got one from each park but after the pearl, i think my favorite things were the pictures. We loved the photopasses and all the pictures we took and we also got suckered in and got all the ride pictures... but hte look on my hubby's face was PRICELESS :scared1:

We also got the sillohuette (sp?) done of the two of us which will be a good memory for us when we get older.

If you do the one in DTD, they give you 3!

If it's a special year (20th/25th anniversary, etc.), I buy one of the souvenir hard cover books.. it's a snapshot in time of the parks. I also pick up a sterling silver charm every trip - again, if it's a special year, I pick up a charm that symbolizes that year... I have an Animal Kingdom charm from the opening year, park anniversary charms, 100 years... etc. - I don't wear the charm bracelet now, but I love pulling it out to remember.

I have a couple of pressed penny books I bought at the park as well, and it's fun to look through the pennies. I can remember when/where I pressed most of them - a fairly cheap souvenir. ;)

And, I'm another one that likes to have a refillable mug or popcorn bucket that I use at home and remember picking them up.
