Souvenirs (that are memorable)

We always buy a few souvenirs from the onboard shops. Some have been cute and well used even once we're home. Other souvenirs have ended up in a cupboard/drawer. Just curious to hear what some of the best souvenirs you've purchased are? I know this is partially a personal preference but am trying to think of a few new things we could buy during our upcoming cruise.......

I like tervis or mugs beach towels ornaments anything that you can't get on land

I use my Tervis multiple times each week. It's bith useful and a fun way to remember.

I ALWAYS buy a DCL beach towel each cruise. I use it during the cruise and all the time afterwards.....they are a great reminder of the cruise!! I also use my Tervis DCL tumblers all the time.

Tervis cups are DW favorite souvenirs, especially the Holiday ones . A couple of years back we also bought the Tee Shirt that displays all 4 of the Disney ships. They have held up really well & we still wear them when we cruise, as well as when we hit the parks.

I also like to get the tin of mints. I got a blanket during our Alaskan cruise and use that alot in the winter.

On the Fantasy, we bought the Animator's Palate butter knife souvenir. We use it at least weekly, if not more often.

I bought a really beautiful Christmas tree ornament last year and seeing it on my tree this year made me smile every time I saw it. It's really elegant and nice looking.

I just bought the DCL dish towels and I love seeing them every day in my kitchen!

we love our fuzzy fleece blanket from our alaskan cruise. it brings a smile to my face every time i snuggle up in it while being a couch potato.

Another Tervis person here. DCL is what brought me over to Tervis, actually. Had never heard of them before I started researching DCL. Now we're hooked (see my Duff Tervis mug in my avatar pic). So I get one with the year of our cruise on it. DH got one from the store on Castaway last time; I didn't like the looks of it when I was there, but it's growing on me now.

AP Butter knife vote here too! Also my DS teacher asked him to keep a journal (took him out of school for the cruise). That journal was signed by almost every cast member we encountered with stories from where they were from, words in their languages with translations, and his own experiences on board and on shore. I got photos of most CM and glued them in. Photos all over the ship and places we visited. I think that beats out the the butter knife, now.

I use my DCL windbreaker a lot, as well as my coffee mugs (I have several). I also have a Philip Stein watch I bought on the Fantasy that I adore. We use our DCL blankets and throws all the time too.

A DCL Pillow

I use the pillow all the time. It's a great gap filler between DBF and I on our bed and it is firm/small enough to be a travel pillow. The price may seem something to scoff at while on the cruise buying, but it truly is worth it (I think $20?)

That's the pillow I got ^_^ On the back it has the cruise fancy logo (like on bow of ship) and Disney Cruise Line

I work in the travel industry, so we travel often. We collect gold/brass ornaments from each city, place, activity that we visit. We display those on our "travel tree" at Christmas time. Each destination city that we go to, we collect a piece of artwork of the city (like a painting or litho of the city-scape or a famous landmark from that city) and frame them and have them all hung in our stairwell. I used to collect bells and beer mugs. They became "junk" over time.

Cruise shot glass-when I am looking out at the cold frozen ground-I can mix myself a cocktail and remember warm, sunny days!

My favourite souvenir is a blue DCL cooler bag that I bought on Castaway Cay.

We have quite a few things that we use often. My DS wears his DCL t-shirts all the time. He also has the models of all the ships we have been on displayed on a shelf in his room. I'm sitting here now looking at my Disney Dream travel coffee mug that I use every day. We also have a lot of Tervis cups that get used often. I do enjoy seeing the ornaments every year on the tree. Oh, and the fleece blankets get used quite a bit when watching TV.
