I know that most people, including myself collect pressed pennies. But what does everyone collect that is more valuable then the pennies. Something that might cost more, and mean more then just the pressed pennies/quarters? I was in the shop inside the castle, and that was amazing. So many great items (alot that were way to far out of my money range), but I did love looking at the posters and paintings, especially the oil painting of all the characters. When I was in Adventureland by POTC, I was looking in a case that was attached to a pillar and it had glass blocks with characters etched inside of them. It was something that was really amazing. I am thinking about starting to collect those along with pressed pennies. And I was wondering what everyone else collects that is special to them?

I don't collect anything expensive, only the rubber magnets that come in sets with character faces or the ones from the resorts?

I really enjoy collecting the little ceramic figures. I started this at Disneyland, they have a store on Main Street called China Closet. Way bigger selection than anything at WDW. I have most of the princesses, (I think Ariel is the only one I still need to get) plus some Minnies, Mickey's Dumbo and Stitch. My husband and kids enjoy picking them out for me for Christmas, bday and Mother's Day. They are usually between $7-$15. I even bought a little cabinet to display them in! My mother got me a really nice, large snow dome at Disneyland last Christmas that sits on the bottom of the cabinet, something I can treasure from my Christmas trip with her and my stepdad forever. I used to make fun of my aunt for collecting Precious Moments figures, and having them displayed in cabinets. Now she can make fun of me!

P.S. I am also thinkig of collecting those glass blocks the OP mentioned. They also had a really pretty, small glass slipper I may have to get. I need smaller things since my cabinet is filling up!

I don't collect things that cost too much...mostly postcards, and every year I get a shot glass. I do collect the lithographs that come out with the movies at the Disney Store. If I find one that I like in one of the stores at WDW, I buy it. I have an adorable Monsters Inc one that I just love.

I collect tons from Disney- some expensive and some that cost nothing at all...
Here is what I (and my DH) get-
Snowglobes (the most expensive one I got is $125- a little pricey, but it's my favorite!)

Napkins (free and great to put in scrapbooks)

Magnets for the refrigerator (DH won't spend more than $5 on one and we have some really nice ones)

Pins (most expensive was $14 and it was from Tokyo Disney I believe...)

Bags from the stores (again, free and I cut out the characters when I get home and put them in my scrapbooks)

Books written by the Imagineers or any triva about Disney- really informative stuff

Soaps and shampoos from the hotel (another freebie that is nice to have when you get home)

Cups from different places- I have a nice glass mug from Cindy's, one plastic cup from the place in Frontier land where you get caramel corn...

Pressed Pennies- I know you wanted something other than that, but we love them :)

Disney Dollars that we get back from returning the stroller...

Just anything that you are interested in makes a great thing to collect honestly...
