Can anyone tell me the prices I can expect for some of the WDW souvenirs (mouse-ears, baseball caps, balloons- basically anything a cartoon crazy 3yo will spot and want).

Also if anyone knows the prices of the costumes (Peter Pan or Toy Story ones) I would be much obliged.

Thanks in advance

Hi,
Our last trip was in June. Excpect to pay quite a bit for everything. Mouse ears aren't bad about $6 (if you buy them at the hat store in MK they will put his name on for free) I have not priced boys costumes. The princess ones are about $50. Hats etc. are about $15. If you have a car there are several Disney outlet stores close that you can save on hats shirts and some toys. I bought my friends daughter a snowwhite dress for $12. Also if you have a Disney Club card you can save on purchases at downtown disney. Hope this helps.

be warned that as you are walking down main st in MK there are cast members holding big mickey/minnie balloons. they are $5 each. sounds expensive but it really isnt. the balloons are the aluminum ones that you can re-inflate when you get home and they come with a balloon weight in the shape of mickeys head!!!

AND...If you walk down main street after dark,or anywhere in MGM you will be faced with CM's holding out light-up- spin toys. 12.00 & up. They are everywhere after dark and every kid wants one. Oh well, made the wait for Fantasmic better!

Thanks for the reminder of the light up spinny thing. We bought one in Washington, D.C. over the fourth and I will pack it.

I have also been buying glow necklaces at the dollar store and packing them. I figured they must be more then a dollar in WDW.

Thanks for the tip on the mickey ears. Is that the only store that puts names on them?? About where is the hat store located?

bumping up for location of hat shop....April:Pinkbounc

the hat store is right as you enter mk. It is on the right side as you come in by the Camera shop. Just look on your guide map. Other places will put the name on but most of the ones that I have come acrossed cost quite a bite. Something that I do on every trip is collect a few things from Wal-Mart,etc. I put a few items in my bag each morning and I give them to the kids during the day. I always give them each a certain amount of Disney Dollars to spend on their own. By me giving them the little cheesy things they have money for the larger fun stuff. We are going back for Christmas again this year so I am excited to make them special stockings and hats. The kids last year thought mickey brought them to them.
